Based in the company’s Mexico City office, Brunero will lead the strategy for developing series and films across Mexico, Colombia, and Spain.
Dynamo, the production company behind acclaimed projects such as One Hundred Years of Solitude and Narcos, has announced the appointment of Julieta Brunero as its new Head of Scripted Content, further strengthening its leadership in the international audiovisual industry.
Based in the company’s Mexico City office, Brunero will lead the strategy for developing series and films across Mexico, Colombia, and Spain.
Her rol will focus on building bridges between local and international teams to ensure Dynamo’s stories—firmly rooted in the cultural authenticity of each territory—resonate with global audiences.
With more than 18 years of international experience, Brunero has held leadership roles at major companies including Netflix, The Walt Disney Company, and Paramount Global/TIS Studios.
Most recently at Paramount Global, she served as Head of Content, overseeing projects for Latin America and other Spanish-speaking markets. Among her highlights are Medusa and Delirio, two productions that reached the Global Top 10 for Non-English Series on Netflix.
At Dynamo, she will oversee the planning, curation, and development of stories, ensuring the company’s creative pipeline aligns with market trends, streaming platforms, and current audience interests.
A strong international creative team
Brunero will be supported by a talented Ibero-American content team:
Daniela Gómez (Mexico): screenwriter and creative with over 13 years of experience working with Netflix, Amazon, Warner Bros., and ViX. She was nominated for an International Emmy in 2023 and won the Ariel Award for Best Feature Screenplay in 2024.
Laura Rojas (Colombia): content creator and developer with more than eight years of experience. Her credits include Bolívar and Klass 95, the latter reaching Netflix’s Top 10 in five countries.
Genaro Quiroga (Spain): with 26 years in entertainment and advertising, he has worked with HBO, Discovery Channel, Televisa, and Warner Media. He served as executive producer of Bunker (nominated for an International Emmy) and showrunner of Coyotl.
Strategic expansion
This appointment follows Dynamo’s recent moves, including the addition of Angélica Guerra as a partner and collaborations with Carol Trussell and Kristin Jones, building a world-class creative team.
With these developments, Dynamo reaffirms its position as one of the most innovative and influential production companies in the Ibero-American audiovisual landscape.
