Turkish distributor Mediahub is present once again at Mipcom in Cannes to showcase the latest additions to its successful catalog of Turkish dramas, which this year is led by Bitter Justice, fresh from a very promising debut and ready to meet new partners in the international market.

“Bitter Justice is our new product for this year. We are launching it here at Mipcom,” Elif Turna, Manager of Sales and Commercial Development at Mediahub, said to ttvnews in Cannes.

“We’ve received so much great feedback. We’ve already signed some deals and are working on more. It’s a very nice and beautiful story about a young girl who is fighting for her life. She finds love in an unexpected time”, she explained.

Bitter Justice is currently airing weekly on Wednesdays in prime time in Turkey. From the very beginning, the series has generated remarkable buzz and strong viewership. Audiences have truly cherished the story; its mix of high emotional stakes, suspenseful twists, and layered characters has resonated deeply.

Another big original title Mediahub is presenting in Cannes is the already successful Alaca, which found notable ratings in Ecuador and is ready to continue traveling across the region. To this end, the distributor will present both titles with Spanish dubbing at the upcoming Mip Cancun.

Why have these titles achieved such notable success? According to the executive, it’s all about staying true to their roots. “It’s completely traditional Turkish drama where you can find all the elements about passion, love, revenge, family secrets… Instead of focusing on modern stories, as Mediahub, we know the taste of our audience and we know that they really love traditional Turkish drama, so we are sticking to that”, she explained.

“Our goal is to produce one new title, one new project each year. So, we are trying to keep this momentum. At the same time, we are, of course, proceeding to acquire ready-made titles to distribute,” she added.

As for these ready-made titles, Mediahub has a long and varied catalog to offer, with two new dramas that have recently been added for the international market.

“Aside from our newest production, Bitter Justice, we will also start to distribute two new Turkish dramas: Close to You and Take My Hand”, she revealed.

This success is perfectly represented at this year’s Mipcom, where Mediahub is debuting a new stand. “This year we are very proud and it’s very exciting. We have been receiving such great feedback from our both colleagues and clients saying that the expansion, with regards to stand and the design, everything is showing how much effort we’ve put throughout this year”, she said.

“And it’s a reflection of that. Hearing such kind and positive feedback is always encouraging for us to do more and support our clients with better content, better services all the time. So, we couldn’t be happier than this”, she explained.
