The new five-year agreement, from 2026 to 2030, will bring Paraguayan audiences the top hits of Globo’s dramatic productions.
Globo and Telefuturo, Paraguay’s leading free-to-air television channel, have renewed their partnership with the signing of a new five-year agreement, from 2026 to 2030, to bring Paraguayan audiences the top hits of Globo’s dramatic productions. In this new phase, the telenovela Anything Goes is scheduled to premiere this year on Telefuturo’s programming. Originally aired in prime time in Brazil, Anything Goes reached over 150 million viewers, is the most-watched telenovela in Globoplay’s history (Globo’s streaming service), and is Globo’s highest-grossing prime-time production in Brazil.
As part of the agreement, Globo productions such as Justice on Telefuturo and The Life We Lead and Brazil Avenue on the channel La Tele, also part of the group, are already on air.
“Renewing this agreement for the next five years represents a strong step in our mission to offer television of international standard. For Telefuturo, Globo is not just a content provider, but a strategic partner that shares our pursuit of narrative excellence. Paraguayan audiences have a historic bond and unique affinity with Brazilian stories; they have laughed and been moved by great hits, and this agreement ensures that connection continues to grow with the highest possible quality”, Marcos Román, Programming and Acquisitions Manager at Telefuturo.
The renewal reinforces and expands a strategic relationship that began in 2023, highlighting the relevance of Globo’s content in the Paraguayan market. Throughout the partnership, Telefuturo has already aired major works of Brazilian drama, such as Pantanal, Land of Desire, Rebirth, and The Thorn and The Rose.
“This new phase marks an important stage in a trajectory built on the Paraguayan audience’s identification with Globo stories. The agreement reaffirms our commitment to offering content that continues to captivate audiences and expand the presence of Brazilian drama in Latin America,” says Pablo Ghiglione, Head of Sales Americas and APAC & International Co-productions.
