Golden Boy and its production company, OGM Pictures, were two of the biggest winners of the Dizilah Güzel Awards 2023, the awards ceremony that celebrates Turkish TV industry and has been held since 2019.
The awards, that invites audiences from all over the world to vote online for its favorite in different categories, had Golden Boy (Yalı Çapkını) as the winner in the category Best TV Series. OGM Pictures won as Best Production company.
OGM Pictures and Golden Boy also celebrated with wins in many other categories like Best Couple (Mert Ramazan Demir & Afra Saracoğlu, both from Golden Boy), Best Female Actress (Saracoğlu), Best Male Actor (Ramazan Demir), Best Director (Burcu Alptekin, from Golden Boy) and Best Screenplay (Mehmet Barış Günger, from Golden Boy).
“These accolades are a testament to our commitment to excellence and the unwavering support of our loyal fans”, said the production company in a press release. “We are immensely proud of the entire team at OGM Pictures for their dedication, creativity, and passion for bringing these remarkable productions to life.”
Another winners were the series Adim Farah, from FOX Turkey, that won as Best New TV Series and Best Cast Ensemble, and Kaçış, from Disney+, that won as Best Streaming Series.
The demographic breakdown of the Güzel Awards voters reflects the immense support and global reach of Turkish TV series. Statistics indicate: 60.25% of voters were women; 39.11% of voters were from Asia; 32.81% of voters were from Europe; and 19.01% of voters were from the Americas.
