The renewed agreement covers the production and distribution of the international signal for around 700 matches annually. From January 1, the group will operate under the name Imagina.
Conmebol has renewed its agreement with Grup Mediapro, which will continue overseeing the full operation of the Conmebol Hub through 2030, extending a strategic partnership that has centralized the audiovisual production and distribution of South America’s leading football competitions since 2019.
Under the renewed agreement, Grup Mediapro will remain responsible for producing and distributing the international signal for approximately 700 matches per year. The company will also continue producing all Conmebol competition matches played in Bolivia, with technical deployments involving up to 20 cameras at high-altitude venues such as La Paz and El Alto.
Launched in 2019, the Conmebol Hub has become a key infrastructure for the audiovisual coverage of tournaments including the Conmebol Libertadores, Conmebol Sudamericana, Conmebol Recopa and the national team competitions organized by the Confederation.
Since its launch, Grup Mediapro has produced more than 3,500 matches through this operation, which is primarily based in Buenos Aires, with additional support from teams in Miami, Barcelona and Montevideo.
The renewal underscores Conmebol’s confidence in the group’s technological and operational capabilities to maintain the production and distribution standards required by broadcasters, digital platforms and sponsors, while serving audiences around the world.
“We thank Conmebol for this recognition of the work carried out by our teams. Continuing to work together reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and technological innovation in the service of South American football,” said Santiago Vila, Country Manager of Mediapro Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
“We will continue working alongside Conmebol to support the growth of its competitions and deliver the highest standards in audiovisual production and distribution. Producing matches in Bolivia also represents an opportunity to further strengthen our regional presence and bring our expertise to new strategic markets for South American football,” he added.
The agreement comes as the group prepares for a new chapter, adopting the name Imagina from January 1.
