The distributor made its way to Miami with a catalog of its most recent Turkish hits, led by Halef, Eshref Ruya, and Betrayal; and ambitious plans to produce and acquire a large number of vertical micro-dramas for the international market.

At the last edition of Mipcom, Inter Medya presented its first vertical drama, joining one of the biggest trends in the audiovisual industry last year. And after the positive reception the title received in Cannes, the Turkish distributor has decided to go further.
Thus, Inter Medya arrived in Miami for a new edition of Content Americas, where they will be presenting, in addition to their classic Turkish dramas, their projects in the field of micro-dramas.
“We are very pleased to be at Content Americas, presenting our vertical dramas,” began Beatriz Cea Okan, Vice President and Director of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya, in an interview with ttvnews.
“At the moment, we have three in our catalog: one Inter Medya production, De la oficina a la cama, and two from other production companies,” she added. “And we are awaiting a catalog of another 20 titles from Gain. In addition, we are already preparing to produce about 16 micro-dramas ourselves. So, by the end of the year, we will have a significant catalog of our own and third-party micro-dramas.”
And of course, besides this new initiative, Inter Medya is presenting its successful traditional Turkish dramas in Miami, which have continued to bring joy to the distributor with their remarkable ratings in Turkey and the international market.
“We are presenting Halef, which we already screened at MIP Cancun, and now we’re coming back with many more episodes, and with the resounding success it’s having in Turkey,” explained the executive. “When we presented it in Cancun, it was very new, and now we have numbers that allow us to guarantee it will be a huge success.”
Halef, from Most Production, is distinguished by its powerful cast and a plot that combines intense drama with great emotional depth. Starring İlhan Şen, Aybüke Pusat, and Biran Damla Yılmaz, the series immerses the audience in a universe of love, passion, secrets, and revenge from its very first episode.
“We are also presenting Betrayal and Eshref Ruya, along with their subsequent seasons,” she added.
Starring Çağatay Ulusoy and Demet Özdemir, Eshref Ruya captivated local audiences with its high production quality, emotional narrative, and relatable characters. In the drama, Eşref spent years searching for a girl he loved as a child, a memory so distant and idealized that he called her “Rüya,” meaning dream. Along the way, he rose to power as a high-ranking member of a mafia organization.
“We’re very happy because right now we have two dramas in the top 5 ratings, even competing against soccer. We’re thrilled. They’re very classic stories, especially Halef, and we know it will be a huge success,” she concluded.
