The Mediaset España executive will lead the creation and development of many ideas and format concepts.

ITV Studios Iberia announced the incorporation of Miguel Vila as the company’s new creative director, a position in which he will oversee the creative aspect of the formats produced by ITV Studios in Spain, such as La Voz, La Voz Kids and El Cazador, whose 14th season for TVE is currently in production.

This was announced by Nathalie Garcia, Managing Director of ITV Studios Iberia, to whom Vila will report and who will be in charge of managing the creation and development of many ideas and format concepts.

Miguel will work closely with the network’s eventual Director of Content and his team, as well as the Director of Production once hired. He will also work with data to continually improve content performance and lead the research and development team in their pursuit of new content opportunities worldwide, working closely with the ITV Studios Creative Network, led by Mike Beale, Managing Director.

Vila joins ITV Studios Iberia from Mediaset España, where he was Assistant Format Development until 2015 and then Head of Formats and New Developments for almost 10 years.

Nathalie Garcia, Managing Director of ITV Studios Iberia, noted that she is delighted to have Miguel join the ITV Studios family. “I have always admired his creativity, his infectious drive, and his passion for new ways to entertain viewers. It’s great to finally be part of the same team.”

For his part, Vila commented that this is a great opportunity to continue developing his career in the television business and create new unscripted programs with a great team led by one of the best television executives in Spain, Nathalie García.

Before his position at Mediaset España, he was Head of Research and Content Development at Sogecable for Canal+ and Cuatro from 2005 to 2011. He was also Director of Entertainment Programs at Canal+, such as Más te vale and Más te vale XXL, from 2002 to 2005.
