The executive, who oversaw Paramount’s international operations and global content distribution, is departing as the newly combined company reshapes its corporate structure.
Kevin MacLellan will leave Skydance following the merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), a transaction that created a major global entertainment group and ushered in a new phase of organizational restructuring across its international businesses.
MacLellan served as president of international and global content distribution at Paramount Skydance, a position he assumed in 2025 following Skydance’s acquisition of Paramount Global. In that role, he oversaw the company’s international strategy, distribution operations and television assets across multiple markets, including Channel 5 in the UK and Network 10 in Australia.
According to Variety, the company’s new leadership is reviewing its international structure, with MacLellan set to depart as part of the changes. His exit adds to the executive reshuffling accompanying the integration of Paramount and WBD’s businesses and teams.
The restructuring also affects Warner Bros. Discovery’s international division, previously led by Gerhard Zeiler, who plans to leave the company to pursue a political career in Austria.
Meanwhile, Skydance has begun defining responsibilities across its content distribution and sales operations. David Decker will oversee content sales, Jay Askinasi will lead advertising sales, and Ray Hopkins will be responsible for domestic network distribution. The executives will report to JB Perrette, who oversees the group’s television and direct-to-consumer businesses.
MacLellan’s departure marks another significant executive change as Skydance establishes the leadership structure of the combined group, which brings together film studios, streaming platforms, television networks and extensive content libraries under a single corporate umbrella.
