Talpa Studios’ formats will have even greater ease of travel throughout Latin America, thanks to the new production hub the company is establishing in Argentina. This hub will support the development of productions across the region, saving costs and simplifying the process thanks to the experience the company has gained.
This was shared by Marina Chikalovets, Format Sales Manager at Talpa Studios, during the first day of Content Americas.
“We’ve closed a new agreement for The Quiz With Balls, which will be produced by Canal 13 in Argentina, but we’re also aiming to have our own production hub in Argentina for The Quiz With Balls, which will be available for all 10 territories in the region,” Chikalovets said.
The executive pointed out that they already have good experience collaborating with the production company Kuarzo, which also developed their format The Floor in Argentina for Canal 13, with a very successful launch.
“In fact, our clients from Uruguay will visit the operations center in Argentina. This way, we’re trying to collaborate and make budgets more efficient to cover such a large market. With this new hub, we won’t have to build a new set for each recording, invest in equipment, and rent it,” said Chikalovets, Talpa Studios’ Format Sales Manager.
According to Chikalovets, having their own regional production hub is an excellent opportunity to unleash creativity, generate ideas, and leverage a team with experience. “This is something Talpa is seeking right now because we also have the Dutch hub, which operates for Europe. We want to achieve the same in Latam, making it easier for our formats to travel across the region.”
