The distributor has added Dutch CORE’s Childhood Dreams and Laura H. for limited territories.
MediaHub has onboarded two critically acclaimed Dutch limited series from Dutch CORE, Childhood Dreams and Laura H., for select territories.
This is the first time MediaHub is representing European scripted content, broadening its library beyond its signature long running scripted content with an emphasis on Turkish dramas, and its collaborations with international partners such as ABS-CBN.
Childhood Dreams (De droom van de jeugd), produced by Topkapi Series, is a nine-episode family saga that premiered at Canneseries and went on to win the Best Drama Award at the New York Festival TV & Film Awards. Tracing five decades from the 1960s onward, it tells the story of a family bound by love, resilience, and shifting identities, making it a sweeping event drama with both emotional intimacy and historical scope.
Laura H., produced by Tomtit Film and Mockingbird Productions, is a six-episode limited series adapted from the bestselling book by journalist Thomas Rueb. Based on the true story of a young Dutch mother who claims she was taken by her husband Ibrahim to the IS occupied area, the series unfolds as a tense, multi-layered narrative questioning whether Laura was a victim or complicit. Laura H. has been nominated in the category “Best Screenplay Drama Series”, at the Netherlands Film Festival, where supporting actor Bilal El Aumoari took home the Golden Calf for his role underlining its critical recognition. Its roots in a real case make it especially attractive for international buyers seeking dramas inspired by true events.
MediaHub supports a vast library of scripted and unscripted content which will be in exhibition during MIPCOM this year with a selection of new titles including but not limited to Childhood Dreams and Laura H. at stand location P-1.G50.
