At this year’s MIPJunior, Ocon Studios unveiled Pororo Underwater Adventure, its new animated film, and the series Super Z. These two productions showcase the studio’s ongoing commitment to educational and musical entertainment, according to Min Seong Gil, Manager at Ocon Studios, and Minseo Kim, Manager at the company.

What is Ocon Studios bringing to MIPJunior this year?

We’re presenting our new movie, Pororo Underwater Adventure, produced by our studio. It’s a family-friendly story suitable for all ages. All Pororo films include a lot of music and songs, making them easy and fun to enjoy and sing along to.

Pororo is a very established franchise. Where is it currently being distributed?

We mainly distribute our content in Korea and Southeast Asia. However, we’re now looking to expand worldwide. Some of our shows are already being distributed in the United States, and we plan to continue growing internationally.

What kind of strategies are you using to reach new audiences?

In addition to traditional platforms, our content is available on several YouTube channels, where we have a very active community. In Korea, we also collaborate with local platforms and Netflix, which helps us reach a broader audience.

You also mentioned the Super Z series. What is this new project about?

Super Z is a TV series for kids and families that delivers an educational message about the importance of eating healthy foods. Seasons 1 and 2 are available on YouTube and have become quite popular in the Americas. We’re now preparing a new season that will be released in 2026.

What’s new in this upcoming season?

We’ve developed a new animation format, featuring a 2D style and short-form episodes. We believe this approach fits perfectly with today’s digital viewing habits and helps us connect more effectively with younger audiences.

With over 25 years of experience, Ocon Studios continues to strengthen its global presence with family productions that blend fun, education, and universal values.
