Orasi Media announce today the acquisition of Monkey Kingdom and African Cats to Dreamscape Media for the US.

Monkey Kingdom is a nature documentary film directed and produced by Mark Linfield and Alastair Fothergill and narrated by Tina Fey. The documentary is about a family of monkeys living in ancient ruins founded in the jungles of Polonnaruwa in Sri Lanka.

In this film Monkey Kingdom, life is an adventure for a young monkey and her son, living among ancient ruins in the jungle. But when her family is forced from their home, she must lead them to safety amidst strange new creatures and surroundings.

The second title, African Cats is a nature documentary film about a pride of lions and a family of cheetahs trying to survive in the African savannah, directed by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey. The film is narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. The families of the animals in African Cats were filmed on the Maasai Mara National, a major game region in southwestern Kenya. The Maasai Mara is one of the few remaining places in Africa where lions, cheetahs and leopards live in large numbers and in close proximity.

Asit Shah, Founder & CEO of Orasi Media said: “We are very proud to bring to audiences in the US, these nature films, bring consciousness and entertain, with the reality this animal species face every day, with humans being a mayor threat to their environment.”
