The production facility will position Galicia and Coruña Estudio Inmersivo (CEI) as virtual production hubs at the professional forum, which will be held next week in London.

Following its official launch last September at the San Sebastian Film Festival, the brand-new Galician production hub Pedralonga Estudios is wrapping up an intense 2025 agenda of professional events with its attendance at Focus, the event dedicated to the creation, production and promotion of screen content that brings together producers, technical services and filming and financing managers from around the world every year in London.

Pedralonga Estudios’ presence at the forum, whose 11th edition will take place on 8 and 9 December, is in line with the falicity’s internationalisation strategy and its desire to put its infrastructure and services on the European map, led by Coruña Estudio Inmersivo (CEI) –Coruña Immersive Studio–, the virtual soundstage with the best technical equipment in Spain for film, television and immersive formats productions.

Proof of this can be seen in the latest shootings hosted by the complex, including several sequences from the feature film Dímelo en secreto, a Prime Video Original produced by Vaca Films that adapts the second instalment of the Dímelo (Tell me) trilogy, written by best-selling Spanish author Mercedes Ron; and the latest campaigns by Zara Kids for its new winter collection The winter project and Pull&Bear, both Inditex Group brands, which opted for the CEI’s virtual production and digital integration capabilities.

Team reinforcement: key technical and operational talent

At the same time, Pedralonga Estudios has added two key profiles to its structure: Anxo Noya is the new technical director of the complex, while Laura Pazienza takes on the role of production coordinator.

Noya has extensive experience in audiovisual production and technical management, having started his career as an electronics technician for the Galician regional pubcaster TVG. In 2000, he joined the production company Voz Audiovisual as Technical Director, where, among other tasks, he was responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the private free-to-air channel V Television. All of this contributes to his operational experience and leadership in the start-up and operation of the studio’s technical facilities.

On the other hand, Pazienza has worked in various animation production companies and VFX studios such as El Ranchito, Antaruxa and Undodez. At the latter, he was production manager for the children’s series ‘Bibopalula’ (2024), ‘Bechos S2’ (2025) and ‘Pipo’ (2025). A regular at markets such as Annecy-MIFA, Series Mania Forum and Mipcom, her incorporation strengthens Pedralonga Estudios’ capacity to manage complex projects and offer comprehensive services to production companies seeking filming sets and technical support in Spain.

José Manuel Deus, managing director of Pedralonga Estudios, explains that “we show most producers two or three examples so they can see the real potential of CEI and immediately understand that they can produce faster, with better results and significant savings. We can virtually recreate any environment or era, and we work with a wide variety of projects and budgets. The sooner we can get involved in a project, ideally from the script stage, the greater the impact in terms of time and money efficiency, with a standard of quality that is difficult to match. Very few European centres come close to what CEI offers the screen industry.”
