Alongside oversight of Banijay Brands and IT, the executive will have operational responsibility for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia and Poland.

Banijay, one of the largest international producers distributors, today confirms Peter Langenberg as group COO, completing its central leadership team structure. Alongside oversight of Banijay Brands and IT, he will have operational responsibility for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia and Poland.

Langenberg joined Banijay as COO back in November 2016, and has since led operations across the global footprint, while building synergies and increasing development opportunities. Prior to joining the business, he was VP Business Management at Warner Bros International TV Production, a role he held from 2011 to 2016. Before that, he was COO for R&D Media Holding and 3 Circles Media Holding.

The Banijay exec also spent ten years with Endemol, where his roles included Executive Director of Operations for Latin America and later for the entire Endemol Group. Before leaving the business, he was Managing Director Entertainment for Endemol Nederland B.V.

COO Langenberg played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Endemol Shine Group and has since led the integration efforts worldwide in terms of talent and systems, in partnership with Chief Executive Officer, Marco Bassetti, to whom he reports.

Marco Bassetti comments: “Peter has been a key figure for Banijay in the acquisition process and subsequent integration. A valued member of our exec team, he is now at the forefront of our operations worldwide, leading a number of departments and a vast proportion of our footprint. Not only is he a great asset for the business but his appointment marks the completion of building an incredibly talented central leadership team.”

Peter Langenberg comments: “The acquisition of Endemol marked a significant shift in scale for us as a business and with that comes vast opportunity and innovation, as we look to pull together the strengths of both organisations. While the integration has long been underway, we continue to assess the new needs of the business to marry the best talent and systems and looking to 2021, we are all confident we’ll be operationally strong, with the best people and products in place to drive quality and efficiency across the board.”
