Cricket legend Dwayne Bravo leads a US$5 million animated franchise alongside PowerKids Entertainment (India).

PowerKids Entertainment, one of Asia’s fastest-growing animation companies, has officially partnered with Animae Caribe House, Dwayne Bravo and other co-producers to launch a science-fiction animation franchise titled Champions of the Galaxy, the first large-scale animated universe inspired by cricket.

This is not just another sports animation. It marks the first time cricket’s cultural dominance across India has been transformed into an exportable animated intellectual property with a true franchise architecture, led by one of the sport’s most charismatic figures.

Champions of the Galaxy is the first cricket-inspired science-fiction series to unite sport, music and animation in a historic Indo-Caribbean co-production, created for global distribution across OTT platforms and cinemas.

The Animae Caribe Festival has greenlit Champions of the Galaxy, a US$5 million animated franchise that leverages cricket’s global reach — with 2.5 billion viewers worldwide — as the foundation for a science-fiction transmedia universe spanning television, video games, music and merchandising.

Dwayne “Champion” Bravo is not just the face of the project, but its proof of concept. A two-time T20 World Cup champion and official ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago cricket, Bravo brings not only sporting credibility but also his musical persona as DJ Bravo. His song Champion, with more than 100 million global streams, has become an unofficial cricket anthem and will serve as the thematic backbone of the franchise.

“Growing up, cricket wasn’t just a sport. It was a way to dream, to believe that a kid from Santa Cruz, Trinidad, could reach the world stage. That’s what this project is about: showing our children that their stories and their voices matter, through animation, music and video games,” said Bravo.

The production marks an unprecedented creative alliance between Animae Caribe House and PowerKids Entertainment, one of Asia’s fastest-growing animation studios, with a presence in more than 160 territories. The collaboration aims to serve both Western broadcasters and South Asia’s OTT ecosystem, reflecting cricket’s role as a cultural bridge between the two regions.

The executive team brings together leading figures from sports, animation and global entertainment, including Bruno Zarka, Alice Dizon Manuel, Camille Selvon Abrahams, Manoj Mishra and Wendy Fitzwilliam.

Champions of the Galaxy is targeting an international market launch for investors and distributors in 2026, with production expected to be completed between late 2026 and early 2027. The project seeks to demonstrate how sports-driven storytelling can influence culture, empower young audiences and strengthen sustainable creative industries.
