When it comes to recognizable kids’ stories, few are as well known around the world as The Jungle Book, one of the most beloved tales that has been shared through multiple generations of parents and kids.

Armed with not one but two animated shows based on the successful IP, Powerkids Entertainment made its way to Cannes for a new edition of Mipcom to find new partners for its coveted catalog of kids’ shows.

“We are happy to be here at Mipcom”, said CEO, Manoj Mishra. “We have great IPs like Adventures of Akira & Mowgli, and Little Mowgli, and we are pursuing buyers for them. Adventures of Akira & Mowgli has gotten a great response, we have great partners already on board, similarly for Little Mouwgli,” he revealed.

In Adventures of Akira and Mowgli, The Jugle Book opens up again and only this time we read through those pages which were never narrated earlier. The pages which narrates the tales of Akira, a girl from the nearby village who accidently lands in the thickets of the mighty Seonee jungle and finds herself in the jaws of Shere khan. Akira managed to escape with the help of Mowgli but the sight of another man cub in jungle has just doubled up Shere khan’s rage and anger. He will never stop picking up the scents of both the man cubs. Mowgli is pretty amused by the sight of Akira but Baloo and Bagheera already know that with Akira’s footprints in the jungle, it is going to be a ‘double trouble’.

Little Mowgli is a prequel series to The Jungle Book. Before Mowgli was the brave and fierce warrior we all know and love, he was an adorable, little man-CUB! Our adventurous 3-year-old spent his days crawling around the vast Seonee Jungle, swinging on his first vine, diving off his first cliff, and making his first friends (even the ones he didn’t realize wanted to eat him.

“We are also presenting Young Achievers Academy and two seasons of Dragonero”, he added.

Produced by Powerkids and Sony, Young Achievers Academy is set in the coolest school on Earth and every kid – no matter where they live on the planet – wants to go there. It’s the perfect place for those who have a thirst for adventure, big dreams of living life to the max, and achieving their fullest potential.

Co-produced by Sergio Bonelli Editore, RAI and PowerKids, Dragonero is a fantasy, action, comedy TV series targeted to kids ages 7-12 years and revolves around the escapades of three friends who are on a mission to save their fantasy land, Erondar. The show is based on best- selling comics, “Dragonero” from Sergio Bonelli Editore created by Luca Enoch and Stefano Vietti, which has already sold millions of copies worldwide

“Dragonero is on the second season. It’s been doing fantastic in terms of ratings on RAI Play and TV. We sold it to NBC in the Middle East, and a lot of Asian countries”, he said. “We are here to showcase all of our brands,” he concluded.
