The project with the strongest regional potential is The Glacier Murders (Spain–Chile), produced by Brutal Media and Fábula. The thriller unfolds between Patagonia and Catalonia.
The Series Mania Forum announced the 15 projects selected for its 2026 Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, one of the most strategic platforms in the European series co-production market. Among the chosen titles, two stand out for their strong Ibero-American presence: a Spain–Chile co-production and a series produced entirely in Spain.
The projects were selected from more than 400 submissions from 65 countries, in an edition that also marks increased visibility for Latin America, with territories such as Uruguay and Panama participating for the first time.
Spain steps forward with two high-profile projects
The project with the greatest regional projection is The Glacier Murders (Spain–Chile), produced by Brutal Media and Fábula. The thriller is set between Patagonia and Catalonia, where a young man inherits a remote hotel that hides a frozen corpse and is forced to investigate a double murder linked to his family’s hidden past. The combination of extreme landscapes, a criminal mystery, and personal drama suggests a project with strong international appeal.
The second Spanish entry is Without Standing, produced by 100 Acres. Set in Madrid in 1981, at the time of the legalization of divorce, the series follows a professionally blacklisted secretary who opens a clandestine law office for desperate women, turning survival into a business that leaves a trail of enemies. The project blends historical context, a female-driven perspective, and social thriller elements—an increasingly in-demand formula in the European market.

A jury led by Spain
The international jury will be chaired by Jorge Pezzi, Head of Fiction and Entertainment at Movistar Plus+, reinforcing Spain’s prominence in this year’s edition. He will be joined by executives from ARTE (France), ZDF (Germany), SVT (Sweden), and Paper Plane Productions (United States).
The winning project will receive a €50,000 award dedicated to the development of the series, an incentive that in previous editions has helped propel projects to international distribution.
The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions will take place on March 24 in Lille, as part of the Series Mania festival, and will once again serve as one of the main showcases for identifying the next European series with global ambitions.
