The Oaktree Capital-backed independent distributor will integrate global audience demand analytics to optimize content valuation, programming, and international expansion.
Radial Entertainment has announced a multi-year enterprise partnership with Parrot Analytics to integrate global audience demand metrics into its business strategy and the management of its extensive content library.
Through the agreement, Radial will incorporate Parrot Analytics’ cross-platform demand data as a key component in its content valuation model, as well as in programming and distribution decisions across multiple platforms and windows.
Backed by Oaktree Capital Management, Radial Entertainment was formed through the combination of Shout! Studios and FilmRise, with the goal of building an independent distributor designed for the streaming era. The company manages a library of more than 70,000 movies and TV episodes.
“We are institutionalizing a rigorous, data-driven approach to valuing content and allocating resources,” said David Buoymaster, Chief Investment Officer at Radial Entertainment. “Integrating Parrot Analytics expands the ecosystem of data signals we use to objectively evaluate titles and libraries and act with greater conviction.”
According to the companies, the platform will allow Radial’s investment teams to analyze global audience demand to assess individual titles, entire libraries, and potential mergers and acquisitions opportunities, supporting more disciplined capital allocation. It will also provide territory-level and taste-cluster insights to guide channel creation and programming strategies with FAST and SVOD partners.
While Radial operates as the corporate platform, Shout! Studios and FilmRise will continue as consumer-facing brands, as the group implements a unified analytics-first approach across AVOD, FAST, SVOD, transactional, broadcast, and physical distribution windows worldwide.
