The executive is stepping down from his role after nine years with the Spanish group.
Ran Tellem, Head of international development at The Mediapro Studio, announced he is stepping down from his role.
“After nine years, I’m closing this chapter at Mediapro”, the executive said on a social media post.
Tellem joined Mediapro in 2016 from Keshet in Israel, where he worked as VP of Programming.
He has vast experience in content production, having worked on major series such as Homeland and The Head.
“Over the past nine years at Mediapro, I’ve had the privilege of developing and producing international scripted and unscripted content across platforms, genres, and cultures. English-language thrillers, Finnish speaking Nordic noirs, Mexican police procedurals, based on true stories dramas, large-scale formats, Chilean premium reality competitions , Vietnamese gameshows, entertainment, and originals that travelled far beyond their home markets”, he said.
“Projects with HBO, Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, Canal+, Viaplay, TVE, Televisa, Globo and others. Shows that ran for multiple seasons. Formats that crossed borders. Stories built with partners in Spain, Finland, France, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, the US, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, UK, Serbia, Vietnam, Chile, Israel, and more”, he added.
Tellem’s exit follows those of general manager Laura Fernández Espeso and Daniel Burman, named director of original content at Disney+ Latin America.
“It’s been an inspiring journey, it’s time to take the next one. I’m ready for new partners. new challenges”, he concluded.
