This week, Reed Midem confirmed that the 2020 edition of MipCancun will still be held on November 17th through the 20th. Registration is now open.

Reed Midem, organizer of all Mip events, announced this Wednesday that despite the coronavirus pandemic, its plans for the 2020 edition of MipCancun are still ongoing.

Indeed, the plan is to hold the event between November 17 and 20 in Cancun (Mexico) as planned.

“I am delighted to confirm that MipCancun 2020 will take place as planned on November 17-20,” said Bénédicte Touchard, MipCancun director.

“My thoughts are with the entire MipCancun community. I hope you and your loved ones are well. I am looking forward to seeing you all in Cancun in November. In the meantime, stay safe,” she added.

Although the final decision on the event will be determined by how the pandemic evolves, the news is a breath of fresh air for the television industry and for Reed Midem, who has already been forced to cancel Miptv and has not yet made a decision regarding to Mipcom (they will wait until September to decide).

Along with the confirmation of the 2020 edition, Reed Midem also announced the opening of registrations for the seventh edition of MipCancun.

In its last edition, the event welcomed 1,000 participants from 47 countries and more than 600 companies.
