All3media, A+E Networks, BBC Studios and ZDF Enterprises are among the first major studios to confirm they will premiere content showcases during the inaugural Global Upfronts, which will debut during the Mipcom Rendezvous Cannes and Mipcom Online+ hybrid market this October.

Reed Midem continues to unveil new details for its renovated Mipcom event, this week announcing the first lineup of presenting studios to join the new 2020 Global Upfronts, which will debut during the Mipcom Rendezvous Cannes and Mipcom Online+ hybrid market this October.

The 2020 Global Upfronts is a new feature at Mipcom and aim to give buyers a fresh look at the most anticipated new programming from the world’s leading studios across all genres. The Mipcom 2020 Global Upfronts lineup will include up to 14 studios who will present 20 minutes each over three days in October.

The Global Upfronts will screen first for buyers in-person at Mipcom Rendezvous Cannes, with presentations scheduled across 11-13 October in the Grand Auditorium in the Palais des Festivals, and then later the same day worldwide via Mipcom Online+.

The first studios confirmed to be participating in the event are: All3media, A+E Networks, BBC Studios and ZDF Enterprises are among the first major studios to confirm they will premiere content showcases.

Each studio will curate a dynamic 20-minute showcase of their most anticipated new programming including a mix of finished series and series that are in production or in pipeline.

The new Mipcom Rendezvous Cannes will take place from October 12 to the 14, and run in parallel to MIPJunior. The companies will not have the traditional stands and the floor plan will be redesigned to faciliate one-to-one meetings.
