The Mediapro Studio (TMS) closed 2025 as one of its most profitable and fastest-growing years, with its original productions and international co-productions earning recognition from audiences worldwide, dominating not only in terms of viewership but also in honors and awards.

The group strengthened its alliances with some of the most important players in the audiovisual industry, bringing its series to the screens of the largest digital platforms on the market and collaborating on high-end co-productions with international potential.

Far from resting on its laurels, TMS aims to continue raising the bar in this new year, with a lineup of projects already underway and ambitious goals to achieve. In the following interview with ttvnews, Javier Esteban, International Director of The Mediapro Studio, reviews the most important milestones achieved in 2025 and highlights the impressive catalog they are presenting in Miami, kicking off the annual events calendar on the right foot.

What assessment would you make of 2025 for The Mediapro Studio in terms of growth? What milestones would you highlight?

This year has been especially significant for The Mediapro Studio’s productions, both fiction and non-fiction, with titles that have stood out for their audience success and critical acclaim and awards, both in Spain and internationally.

As for milestones, in film, the success of El 47 at the Goya Awards stands out, where the film directed by Marcel Barrena won five awards, including Best Film. Also noteworthy is the box office success of Mesa de regalos in Mexico: Noe Santillán López’s comedy not only topped the charts throughout its run, but also ranks among the top 20 most-watched films in the country’s history. And in Uruguay, Perros, produced by Cimarrón, has arrived in theaters and is among the contenders for the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film.

On television, 2025 has been a year marked by significant premieres, such as Su majestad on Prime Video; the second season of Consuelo on ViX; the thriller El mal invisible on 3Cat and Disney+; Cometierra, an adaptation of Dolores Reyes’s book of the same name, on Prime Video; Las maldiciones on Netflix; and Yakarta on Movistar Plus+. Furthermore, this has been the year of Celeste’s international breakthrough, winning awards at Series Mania and the Italian Global Series Festival.

In the realm of non-fiction, highlights include the documentary series El minuto heroico and Perejil; the feature films Temps Mort and Mercenario; the Televisa-Univision version of the survival reality show El Conquistador; and the premieres on Televisión Española of Futuro imperfecto, Malas lenguas, and Directo al grano, all of which achieved excellent audience ratings.

Likewise, in the U.S., we are co-producers of the documentary about the life of Joan Rivers; the documentary The Jet, produced by actor Keanu Reeves and producer Fisher Stevens, about the story of Benny “The Jet” Urquidez; as well as the films The End of It, starring Gael García Bernal and Rebecca Hall, and Atrápelo quien pueda, the first project under the strategic agreement with Telemundo.

In the final markets of the year, The Mediapro Studio announced multiple agreements with international partners for its catalog. What do you think makes TMS’s fiction and formats so popular in the international market?

TMS is a highly recognized player in the international market thanks to the quality of our productions, our flexibility in adapting to the needs of our partners and clients, our global infrastructure, and, of course, the extraordinary storytelling ability of our creators.

Now, TMS is present at Content Americas, having also announced several initiatives in Latin America. What similarities do you see between the Spanish and Latin American markets in terms of content?

The interest in good stories and quality content knows no borders. We are experiencing a moment of great interest in Spanish-language fiction, and both Spain and Latin America are producing extremely high-quality content aimed at reaching audiences worldwide. In our case, the synergies between the markets are multiplying. TMS has a very strong presence in Latin America, with production offices in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Uruguay, and has experienced sustained growth in recent years.

Series like Iosi, el espia arrepentido and Cometierrra on Prime Video, or Las Maldiciones on Netflix, created by Daniel Burman at Oficina Burman, have premiered globally, and most of the titles produced in Spain have made the leap to Latin America. In Spain, we are about to release Aida y Vuelta in theaters, a film based on the legendary television series produced by Globomedia, which will also premiere in theaters in the United States and in several Central American countries where the show was a huge success.

Another major announcement in the Hispanic market in recent months is the production alliance with Telemundo Studios. What can you tell us about this major union of two such production powerhouses? Any projects you can share in advance?

The agreement with Telemundo is one of the most significant milestones of 2025: a strategic alliance that unites two giants of the Spanish-language audiovisual industry to jointly develop and produce original films aimed at Hispanic audiences in the United States and international markets. The first project to emerge from this agreement is the romantic comedy Atrapelo quien pueda, whose production is already underway under the direction of Alfonso Pineda Ulloa and starring Jaime Camil, playing a widowed father who decides to return to the dating scene encouraged by his nine-year-old daughter.

In terms of scripted content, TMS arrived at Content Americas with new series such as Raza Brava, Jakarta, El Resto Bien, and Reykjavik Fusion. What potential do you see for these series in the international market?

We believe they have enormous international potential because all four series offer original stories that, although rooted in local contexts, address universal themes that are interesting to viewers worldwide. They all deal with conflicts that connect us with emotions and situations that know no borders. In Raza Brava, Hernán Caffiero uses soccer as the thread that runs through a story that delves into the complexity of human relationships and their contradictions. Diego San José also uses sports, in this case badminton, in Jakarta to address old wounds from the past; Daniel Burman in The Rest Is Fine proposes a reflection on maturity and family in a comedic tone, and Reykjavík Fusion, created by Hörður Rúnarsson and Birkir Blær Ingólfsson, is a very original Nordic-noir where crime and haute cuisine are mixed with reminiscences of series as well-known as Breaking Bad and The Bear.

What other titles will you be presenting in Miami?

In addition to the series mentioned, we will be presenting other highlights from The Mediapro Studio Distribution, such as Laponia, a new film coming to theaters in 2026, and the films Aida y Vuelta, El Talento, Mesa de Regalos, and El 47. We will also be bringing the series Celeste and El Mal Invisible; international titles like Los Cinco; and our main non-fiction formats, including classics from our portfolio such as El Conquistador, El Intermedio, Atrápame Si Puedes, Yo Sé Más Que Tú, and 400, along with new formats premiering in 2025, such as Futuro Imperfecto and El Camping, among many other titles. We also hold the sales rights for content from other companies, such as the documentary Los Williams.

What are your objectives for 2026? What are your main goals?

Our goal is to continue growing and expanding our international presence with high-quality, innovative, and original projects that connect with the public and attract the interest of clients worldwide to reach increasingly wider audiences.

Following the success of The Search (Sopa de Letras) on Aragón TV, Keshet International (KI) has signed a new licensing agreement with The Mediapro Studio to produce and broadcast a second Spanish adaptation of the physical word-search game show format The Search — this time for Canal Sur Televisión in Andalusia.

Originally created by Youngest Media (Money Drop) and KI for Keshet 12, The Search is a high-energy studio-based game show that transforms the classic word search puzzle into a thrilling television event. Contestants race across a giant LED grid, combining trivia knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork to uncover hidden answers before time runs out.

First adapted in Spain last fall for Aragón TV under the title Sopa de Letras by The Mediapro Studio, the country’s largest and most successful production company has now been commissioned to produce 65 x 30-minute episodes of Sopa de Letras for Canal Sur Televisión, the regional broadcaster owned by Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA).

The daily strip will be hosted by Seville-born actor and TV presenter Antonio Garrido, who will bring his charisma, humor, and experience to a format that is shaping up to be one of Canal Sur’s biggest bets for this fall. From Monday to Friday, two pairs of contestants will test their knowledge and compete for a €10,000 jackpot, facing fun, dynamic challenges such as “Quick Soup” and “Letter Quake” on the colorful, large-scale grid that serves as their physical playing field. Sopa de Letras is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. on Canal Sur Televisión, going head-to-head with Wheel of Fortune.

Kelly Wright, KI’s Managing Director of Distribution, said: “We’re delighted to see The Search gaining momentum in Spain. With a brilliantly simple concept at its core, The Search is a compelling format because it’s so adaptable — as proven by The Mediapro Studio’s Sopa de Letras for Aragón TV, where it’s been a runaway success with three seasons in 12 months, increasing the channel’s share by 39% and building strong viewer loyalty. In Belgium, VRT’s Ketnet is launching the first kids’ adaptation, which has already attracted great interest from buyers at MIPCOM.”

The Mediapro Studio has already produced three seasons of Sopa de Letras for Aragón TV in just 12 months, revitalizing the channel’s daily schedule and boosting its time-slot average by 39%. Hosted by the charismatic local presenter Miki Nadal, this visually striking, interactive, and family-friendly game show has achieved its success by blending competitive gameplay with a returning-contestant mechanic that builds loyalty. One duo famously survived more than 90 consecutive episodes, becoming media sensations in Spain and driving record ratings of up to 16.4% share on Aragón TV.

The first international adaptation of The Search was produced in Uruguay, where KI licensed the format to Canal 4 to produce Sopa de Letras. Strong ratings led to the ordering of additional episodes, with 70 produced to date.

Last year, KI licensed the format in Spain to The Mediapro Studio to produce a daily strip for Aragón TV. Since its launch in October 2024, The Mediapro Studio has delivered three seasons and over 150 episodes of Sopa de Letras, with ratings consistently improving each season.

This summer, the global content producer and distributor licensed The Search in Belgium to Free Kings, where VRT’s Ketnet channel commissioned the first children’s adaptation of the format. The first batch of 30 x 15-minute episodes of Lettersoep (Alphabet Soup) is set to premiere on November 3, with the remainder airing in early 2026. The format is also under option in the UK, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Greece.

The romantic comedy, co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Pampa Films for Disney, became one of the top film releases of the year in Mexico.

Javier Esteban, Director of International at The Mediapro Studio (TMS), shared with ttvnews the company’s key titles and strategies ahead of Mipcom 2025, where it will showcase a broad portfolio that reinforces its position as one of the leading global players in production and content distribution.

“In scripted, we’re bringing new series such as Raza brava, Yakarta, El resto bien, and Reykjavik Fusion, films like El talento and Mesa de regalos, and unscripted formats including El Conquistador, 400, and Futuro imperfecto, among many others,” Esteban explained.

The executive highlighted the studio’s growing activity in the region, with productions that combine local talent and international reach. “We’ve just announced the production of El resto bien, the new series created by Daniel Burman and co-directed with Daniel Hendler, a comedy about a man going through a midlife crisis. It’s a co-production between Oficina Burman and Cimarrón, both part of TMS, for Flow in Argentina, and we also hold worldwide distribution rights,” he said.

Another recent milestone will be the October 27 premiere of El Conquistador: supervivencia extrema on TelevisaUnivision, the Mexican adaptation of the successful Basque format that has aired for 21 seasons on ETB. Cimarrón and TMS’s Mexico team produced the Latin American version.

On the scripted side, the studio is also preparing the launch of the second season of Consuelo for ViX and the upcoming Prime Video premiere of Cometierra, the highly anticipated adaptation of Dolores Reyes’s acclaimed novel, also directed by Burman.

Success of Mesa de regalos in Mexico

Esteban emphasized the impact of Mesa de regalos, “one of the great milestones of 2025 for TMS.” The romantic comedy, co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Pampa Films for Disney, became one of the year’s best-performing releases in Mexico and is now available on Disney+ across Latin America.

“The film ranked among the top 20 highest-grossing Mexican movies in the country’s history. Beyond proving the vitality of romantic comedies, it reinforces a creative model we plan to keep exploring with new titles,” Esteban noted. “A good example is the series Consuelo, which, after two successful seasons on ViX, continues in the same line of humor, emotion, and connection with audiences.”

New formats and international documentaries

In the unscripted field, The Mediapro Studio continues to strengthen its lineup with distinctive titles. “Among this year’s new formats that we’ll also take to Mipcom, Futuro imperfecto stands out, Andreu Buenafuente’s show on RTVE’s La1, which has just launched a new season. The program offers a fresh approach to the classic talk show, built around Buenafuente’s personality and insights, and featuring collaborations with talented comedians and actors,” Esteban said.

The Mediapro Studio is also advancing in the production of two international biographical documentaries, centered on Joan Rivers and Benny Urquidez, both developed through its US and Canada office. “The appeal of the genre lies in the interest of the characters, but also in the production quality and the way their stories are told,” Esteban added.

Expanding production services

The studio’s production services division, led by Cimarrón, has had a particularly active year. “They’ve been involved in major international productions such as The Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Bill Condon and produced by Artists Equity (Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s company), and The Disappearance of Josef Mengele, directed by Kirill Serebrennikov, which premiered in the Cannes Premier section of the festival,” the executive said.

Within The Mediapro Studio’s ecosystem, Cimarrón has also handled production for El Conquistador: supervivencia extrema for TelevisaUnivision, as well as participated in El resto bien, Cometierra, and the feature film Catch Me If You Can, co-produced by TMS, Telemundo, and Cinépolis.

With a strong presence across Europe and the Americas, and a catalog that spans scripted, documentary, entertainment, and production services, The Mediapro Studio heads into Mipcom 2025 reaffirming its global vision and commitment to telling local stories with international impact.

The Mediapro Studio Distribution concludes its time at Mipcom with an excellent reception for its content, which has resulted in significant international distribution agreements. These include the fiction series The Five and Celeste, and the documentary Real Madrid: How Can I Not Love You? All acquired by leading international broadcasters.

The international series The Five, co-produced by Moonage Pictures, by NWR, and The Mediapro Studio for the BBC, is based on the popular adventure novels by British writer Enid Blyton. The Mediapro Studio Distribution represents the distribution rights for Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. The series has been acquired by Televisión Española for broadcast in Spain and by SIC for its premiere in Portugal.

Considered by BBC Studios to be one of its most ambitious youth series to date, The Five is co-created by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Only God Forgives, Valhalla Rising) and Matthew Read. The adaptation has been designed and reimagined for today’s global audiences.

Another series that stands out in international markets is Celeste, created by Diego San José and co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Movistar Plus+. The series has consolidated its international presence after receiving awards for Best Series and Best Actress (Carmen Machi) in the International Panorama section of Series Mania, and Best Comedy Series at the Italian Global Series Festival. At Mipcom, Celeste has confirmed its upcoming premieres on Be TV (Belgium), the Franco-German public broadcaster ARTE, RTS (Switzerland), and SBS (Australia).

The documentary series Real Madrid: How Can I Not Love You?, a Wakai Media production in collaboration with Real Madrid C.F., whose international rights are represented by The Mediapro Studio Distribution, has also received excellent reception. The title has been acquired by SKY Italia and Canal+ Africa, and will also soon be available in Japan, Turkey, MENA, and Cyprus.

In addition, the company has closed new deals for the action thriller Hunting Ava Bravo, co-produced by The Mediapro Studio, Top Dead Center Films, and Wild Sheep Content. Directed by Gary Auerbach and starring Kate del Castillo, who also serves as executive producer, the film continues its international sales journey with the confirmation of its release on two new operators: Paramount+ France and Media4fun Poland.

Finally, the library content included in The Mediapro Studio’s distribution portfolio continues to attract international buyers. This is the case with the film Three Steps Above Heaven, the romantic hit directed by Fernando González Molina and starring Mario Casas, which remains unbeatable in international markets and has renewed its broadcast agreements in Germany, the United Kingdom, the Balkans, and Asia this year alone.

The Mediapro Studio US & Canada has announced today a first option agreement with Cholawood Productions, the production company of actress Kate del Castillo, for the production of Spanish-language content for the US Hispanic audience and for global distribution.

This was announced by JC Acosta, Director of The Mediapro Studio US & Canada, during a panel at Content Americas focused on the company’s production strategy for Hispanic content in the US, which he shared with Francesca Ricagni, recently appointed Head of US Hispanic Content at TMS US & Canada, and Catalina Porto, Director of Content for the company for Mexico and Colombia.

The agreement grants The Mediapro Studio the exclusive first option to develop and produce all Cholawood projects, both fiction and non-fiction.

Cholawood was founded in 2019 by actress Kate Del Castillo and her partners, Carmen Cervantes and Jessica Maldonado, who jointly lead the operations and creative side of the production company from their headquarters in Los Angeles. Cholawood’s goal is to create high-quality, original content in both English and Spanish, with a focus on female and Latinx characters that appeal to all audiences. Cholawood’s recent successes include the Spanish-language series for ViX, Volver a Caer, and the English-language action thriller, Hunting Ava Bravo, distributed by The Mediapro Studio Distribution, which was number one for several weeks on Prime Video in Latin America and is currently broadcast on Roku in the US.

This agreement reinforces The Mediapro Studio US & Canada’s commitment to the Spanish-speaking audience in North America, which continues to be a priority objective for the company with recent titles such as the second season of the series Las Bravas (Max), or the film Intercambiadas (ViX) and comes after the appointment of Francesca Ricagni as head of US Hispanic content, who has led important projects for Apple TV+ and other streaming platforms.

JC Acosta commented: “We are delighted to welcome Cholawood Productions to The Mediapro Studio. Kate, Carmen and Jessica are true pioneers in giving voice to Latinos around the world. With the Studio multiplying its presence in the US, we are excited to partner with them to create stories with Latina and female voices that appeal to all audiences.”

Kate del Castillo said: “I am delighted with this new partnership with The Mediapro Studio. They not only understand Cholawood’s vision, but also the importance of supporting women and Latinos in an industry that is going through such a transformational moment. Only together can we continue to make our voices heard.”

Last year was a busy one for The Mediapro Studio, and it looks set to be a repeat in 2025, with a significant number of projects completed or in production ready to jump into the international market.

With major titles in a wide variety of genres, The Mediapro Studio expects 2025 to maintain the spectacular momentum it gained over the past year, with major partnership announcements and important productions on the way.

“2024 was an excellent year for The Mediapro Studio in Latin America,” commented Javier Esteban, Director of International at The Mediapro Studio. “Excellent quality fiction is being made in Latin America and we are proud to keep contributing to this with series that have achieved great international impact.”

How was 2024 for content production in Latin America?
Last year was excellent for The Mediapro Studio in Latin America. In the series section, three of our main productions have released their second seasons: Iosi, el espía arrepentido, an original for Prime Video created and directed by Daniel Burman, released worldwide, which has also repeated its nomination for the International Emmy Awards for Best Drama Series; Consuelo, a co-production of The Mediapro Studio and ViX, which has triumphed on this platform with a proposal to update the melodrama, and the sitcom Primate, created and starring Colombian actor Christian Tappan, on Prime Video.

Last year we have also boosted feature film production in the region with the premiere on ViX of Intercambiadas, made in co-production with this platform, and Mesa de regalos, which hits theaters in Mexico on January 16 and will later premiere on Disney+. Mesa de regalos is a co-production with Pampa Films.

In addition, Cimarrón, the Uruguayan production company integrated in the Studio since 2023, has participated in the shooting of the American production that will premiere at the Sundance Festival The Kiss of the Spider Woman, produced by Artists Equity, the production company of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and, among other titles, has also premiered the second season of Barrabrava on Prime Video, a series that won the Platinum Award for Best Drama Series in 2024.

During this year, shooting and post-production of premieres that we will see in 2025 have also taken place, such as Cometierra, the series adaptation of the novel by Dolores Reyes, adapted by Daniel Burman for Prime Video, or Las Maldiciones, also a series by Burman for Netflix.

What are new productions would you highlight for the first half of 2025? Which of these titles are you be presenting in Miami?
At Content Americas we are presenting the best content from The Mediapro Studio Distribution worldwide, some of them with upcoming premieres in 2025, such as the series El mal invisible, which will premiere soon on the Catalan platform 3Cat and later on Disney+.

In addition, we include other very relevant series such as Celeste, co-produced with Movistar Plus+, which has been one of the best premieres of the season on the Spanish platform; the third season of The Head, airing since December on Max in Latin America, USA, Spain and Portugal, the closing of the Studio’s most important international franchise; Los Cinco, the adaptation of the famous young adult novels by Enid Blyton, which we co-produced with the BBC; the horror series Tales from the Void, an anthology of some of the best horror stories from the Reedit/NoSleep page with more than 18 million followers.

In non-fiction, a new addition to our catalog is the documentary series Real Madrid como no te voy a querer, a look inside one of the most important soccer clubs in the world.

Regarding cinema, highlights include El 47, the film directed by Marcel Barrena that has broken box office records in Spain with more than half a million euros in box office takings and more than three million viewers, nominated for 14 Goya awards; Transmitzvah, the film that has returned Daniel Burman to cinema as a director, released in theaters in Argentina and streaming on Netflix; and, among other titles, the psychological thriller Pensamiento Lateral, with Itziar Ituño and Alberto Amman.

How do you think Latin American fiction complements the rich offer that also comes from the US, Spain and other territories?
Excellent quality fiction is being made in Latin America and we are proud to contribute to it with series that have achieved a great international impact such as Iosi, el espía arrepentido, an espionage thriller developed from a real event that took place in Argentina. It is a good example that shows how a plot that starts from a local fact, suddenly reaches international interest, even reaching two consecutive years at the International Emmy Awards.

We are at a time when the public is completely open to see content from everywhere. The key is to make sure they are stories that catch their attention and to always maintain the highest quality standards. Latin America has great creators, with whom we are lucky to work. This is the case of Daniel Burman, Juan Carlos Aparicio or Carlos Algarra, who are part of the Studio, or creators with whom we collaborate such as Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn, with whom we have made films such as Competencia Oficial, Mi obra maestra or 4X4. Also the work of companies such as Cimarron, whose prestige has broken frontiers with their participation in La sociedad de la nieve or in the aforementioned The Kiss of the Spider Woman, are generating enormous interest at an international level.

Celeste was one of the great novelties presented in Cancun. How was the reception for this series from Latin American buyers?
The series is being very well received by all the clients to whom we presented it. It has many elements to be liked, because it poses an intrigue. Here the heroine is a tax inspector on the verge of retirement, but she reveals herself as a relentless investigator, who will not hesitate to use her badge (and other means) to achieve her goal. Carmen Machi gives a superlative interpretation of this character, supported by the brilliant writing of Diego San José, creator of the series.

Las Bravas is one of the most interesting titles for the region. How has the second season worked? What do you expect from this title in the international market?
Las Bravas, which we made in co-production with Warner Discovery, has been a success since its premiere and thanks to this it has been renewed with the second season premiered this fall, which has continued to be among the preferences of viewers. The series tells a story of redemption, set in the unique context of women’s soccer. The increase in notoriety that women’s soccer has experienced in the last two years has been almost parallel to the life cycle of the two seasons of the series. Therefore, I believe that both the central theme, a story of adaptation and improvement represented by the character of the coach, played by the actor Mauricio Ochmann, and the presence of women’s soccer as another protagonist, make it very attractive at an international level.

What are your latest developments in non-fiction?
Uncripted content is a very important part of The Mediapro Studio’s production. This year, in Latin America, one of the most outstanding novelties is the premiere on TelevisaUnivision of the contest Cash, the adaptation of one of the Studio’s original entertainment formats, Crush, which has arrived for the first time in Latin America on Canal de las Estrellas in Mexico.

In addition, The Mediapro Studio has premiered this year new non-fiction content such as 59 Segundos, on RTVE; two new formats with the presence of comedian Berto Romero: Ovejas eléctricas, a space that addresses in a fresh and original way how literature is reflected in popular culture, broadcast on RTVE’s La2, and El consultorio de Berto, a very new format for Movistar Plus+, where Berto Romero answers questions as earthly as they are unbelievable. Also new this year was the adventure reality show O Salvaxe, a new contest produced for the Galician regional channel TVG, and among the Studio’s classic non-fiction titles, hits such as El Conquistador, the most extreme and successful reality show in Spanish television with 20 seasons on ETB; Atrápame si puedes, a format that has been on the air for ten years and has eleven adaptations for as many regional channels in Spain, or 400, a social format for the Valencian regional channel À Punt.

*Produced by Luis Cabrera and Ana Paula Carreira, reporting from Cannes, France.

The content strategy developed by The Mediapro Studio for Mipcom focused on the English-speaking market, specifically the United States and Canada, presenting a catalog of new films, series, documentaries, and shows in English.

JC Acosta, Head of The Mediapro Studio US & Canada, told ttvnews that “content is the core and heart of the studio. This is not our first time entering this market; the talent recognizes the brand’s power. For us, it’s a luxury to have this.”

Acosta noted that The Mediapro Studio’s priority is talent and content. “We want to tell stories with a global profile, stories that have the power to create new business opportunities and different partnerships. The studio develops, produces, distributes, and is highly creative in what it does. To me, these are the tools to achieve success,” he said.

According to the Head of The Mediapro Studio US & Canada, their primary investment is – clearly – in content and IP. “We understand the industry’s challenges, but that’s where we have our competitive advantages, with the global infrastructure we have, from development to creatives and global production. We can be in all kinds of businesses.”

“We are aggressively entering The Mediapro library with entertainment formats. Today, we announced Catch Me if You Can, with Anthony Carbone as the showrunner, known for the worldwide hit The Floor. We’re also presenting our films, Mother Wolf, which is in post-production and will be released next year, and Is There No Place on Earth for Me?, which is currently being developed with John Turturro, who wrote, directs, and stars in it,” he added.

The new productions feature renowned talent, both in front of and behind the camera, globally recognized and awarded figures like Evan Katz, Juan José Campanella, Juliet McDaniel, John Turturro, Melissa Leo, and Anthony Carbone, among others.

With a strategic focus on creating, producing, and distributing content in English, the company launched The Mediapro Studio US & Canada in Los Angeles less than six months ago, establishing its footprint in North America and strengthening its presence in the global market.

Titles presented for the US & Canada:

Witness 36, a high-stakes spy thriller series created by Daniel Burman, with Evan Katz as the showrunner.

The Son of the Bride, an English-language remake in series format, created and directed by Juan José Campanella, based on his Oscar®-nominated film.

Screaming Ball of Chaos, a fun comedy with a stellar female cast about bank robberies carried out by a chaotic woman, created by Juliet McDaniel.

Mother Wolf, a family drama film starring Oscar® winner Melissa Leo (*The Fighter*).

Is There No Place on Earth for Me?, an emotional feature film written and directed by John Turturro.

I Love the Prime Minister, a comedy series set in Canada, directed by Matt Hastings.

In non-fiction, notable titles include Hollywood Homicide: Robert Blake, a true crime docuseries that examines the murder of Bonny Lee Bakley, Blake’s wife.

The American adaptation of the popular quiz show Catch Me if You Can, originally aired on 11 regional channels in Spain and with over a decade on the air, will feature Anthony Carbone as executive producer and showrunner for its US version.
