The executive joins the company’s international sales team after eight years at Kanal D International and a subsequent move into production with Hacıyatmaz Group.
OGM Universe has expanded its international sales team with the appointment of Selim Türkmen as Sales Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Africa.
Türkmen brings extensive industry experience to the role, having spent eight years at Kanal D International. He joined the company in 2016 to manage sales across Western Europe, Africa and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) territories.
In 2020, he was appointed to oversee the MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa and Western Europe territories, before stepping into the role of Director of Sales in 2022.
In 2025, Türkmen transitioned to content production as Director of Sales and Business Development at Hacıyatmaz Group, gaining experience in show packaging, budgeting and commercial strategy from a producer’s perspective.
He is fluent in English and French and has a strong command of Spanish.
In his new role at OGM Universe, Türkmen will lead content distribution strategy across MENA and Africa, driving growth and strengthening partnerships with leading regional broadcasters and streaming platforms.
