Under the title The Price of a Promise, SIC’s telenovela, Broken Promise, premiered on Duna in Hungary.
SIC’s Broken Promise (A Promessa) continues to make its way into the international stage and is now captivating Hungarian audiences. Under the title The Price of a Promise (Az ígéret ára), the Portuguese telenovela, currently airing weekday afternoons at 1:00 pm, premiered last March 30 on Duna.
Adapted from Kanal D’s original format Ruthless City (Zalim İstanbul), Broken Promise has established itself as one of SIC’s standout long-running dramas. This launch, alongside the title’s recent premiere on Dori TV, reinforces SIC’s successful investment in format adaptations with strong narratives and universal appeal.
SIC’s content sales team will be present at Content Europe in Lisbon from April 21 to 23 to further strengthen its international presence and advance its global sales strategy.
Among other titles, the team is highlighting SIC’s most recent releases: Chapters of Life, an adaptation of TV Globo’s 2006 beloved hit Páginas da Vida (Pages of Life), and Vitória, which is based on the acclaimed Turkish series Gülperi from TIMS and Global Agency. Also showcased is Opto exclusive series Azul, which is set to premiere in SIC’s streaming platform the very same week of the market (April 24).
The catalogue featured at this very first edition of Content Europe reinforces SIC’s commitment to new distribution models through innovative multiplatform releases in partnership with major global players such as Disney+ (Vitória) and Prime Video (Chapters of Life), whilst also further diversifying SIC’s scripted portfolio with bold, contemporary storytelling.
