TelevisaUnivision today announced the premiere of Los Hilos del Pasado, the highly anticipated reimagined version of El Privilegio de Amar, one of the most iconic telenovelas of the 1990s. Los Hilos del Pasado will premiere on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on Univision and will be available for streaming on ViX beginning September 11.

Produced by award-winning executive producer José Alberto El Güero Castro, the new melodrama marks the return of acclaimed actress Yadhira Carrillo to television after nearly 20 years. The production also stars Eduardo Santamarina, Bárbara López, David Zepeda, and Emmanuel Palomares.

Los Hilos del Pasado tells the story of Carolina (Yadhira Carrillo), a renowned fashion designer married to Manuel (Eduardo Santamarina), a successful music producer. At the height of her career, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Cristina (Bárbara López), a beautiful young woman who draws her disapproval after falling in love with her stepson Carlos (Emmanuel Palomares). What Carolina doesn’t know is that Cristina is the daughter she was forced to abandon twenty years earlier, after being mistreated by Doña Luisa, who opposed her son Salvador (David Zepeda) leaving the priesthood when he found out about the pregnancy. Marked by secrets and emotional wounds, Carolina will fight with all her heart to mend broken ties and reweave the threads of love that fate once tore apart.

Los Hilos del Pasado is being filmed primarily in Mexico, with additional international scenes shot in Miami in the U.S., Milan, and Lake Como in Italy. The stellar cast also includes Laura Flores, Mark Tacher, Azela Robinson, among others.
