From channels to original productions, formats, fiction, platform partnerships, and more: TV Azteca Internacional arrived at the latest edition of Mipcom with a catalog of new products on all fronts.
“For us, it’s a very important market to round out a very successful year,” began Jesica Stescobich, Director of Distribution and Strategic Alliances at TV Azteca Internacional, in a conversation with ttvnews.
“This year we’re bringing fiction, entertainment, documentaries, sports, FAST channels… a little bit of everything,” the executive summarized.
On the fiction side, the group continues to present its successful telenovela Cautiva por amor, which became a resounding success during its broadcast on Azteca Uno, further boosted by its partnership with Disney+.
“We’re also bringing new seasons of Lotería del Crímen, Un día para vivir, and Dra Lucía, which is in its third season next year. And we have our big star show, La Granja VIP, a Fremantle format for which we handled all the production,” she emphasized.
La Granja VIP is a reality show that brings together celebrities in a rural setting, where they must face physical, emotional, and social challenges, far removed from the life of luxury. An innovative format that combines entertainment, real-life drama, and human connection.
The format premiered this past October 12th with an innovative format that allows viewers to follow the experience in real time 24/7 through Disney+. For 10 weeks, the audience will be able to seamlessly follow the participants’ daily lives: from everyday tasks and moments of togetherness, to conflicts, alliances, and challenges that will test their endurance.
“We also have sports content, leading up to the World Cup. Many conversations about making documentaries and additional content. And we brought our international productions from TV Azteca Internacional,” the executive continued.
And if that weren’t enough, the group is preparing for the launch of a new FAST channel. “We also have our 10 FAST channels, because we are launching channel number 10, which is the Exatlon channel,” Stescobich revealed.
“We have relationships with the main streamers: LG, Samsung, Roku, Pluto, Tubi, Canela… we have channels with all of them. And we’re doing this special launch. We’re going to show all the previous seasons. Exatlon is a brand for TV Azteca; it’s a success. We’re doing it with Acun Medya in the Dominican Republic. We just launched the new season on open TV, and the previous ones will be on this channel,” she concluded.
