The company presented its Upfront Trascender to advertisers and commercial partners, unveiling ten new telenovelas, the fifth season of La casa de los famosos México and more than 100 vertical productions for ViX Micro.
TelevisaUnivision unveiled its content lineup and commercial strategy for 2027 during its Upfront Trascender, held on October 14 in Mexico. The company used the event to review its 2026 audience performance and preview a programming slate combining scripted content, entertainment, sports, news and digital formats.
Sports will be one of the key pillars of next year’s offering. The lineup will include the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, matches featuring Mexico’s men’s national team, games involving seven Liga MX teams and LaLiga EA Sports broadcasts. It will also feature NFL games on broadcast television, the Mexico City Formula 1 Grand Prix and two additional races from the championship, weekly boxing under the Box Televisa brand, and every game of Major League Baseball’s World Series.
The company backed its sports strategy with audience results presented at the event. According to its figures, nine of the ten most-watched matches on broadcast television in 2026 aired on its platforms, averaging more than 10 million viewers per game. In addition, coverage of all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 reached more than 675 million people across broadcast television and ViX, according to company data.
In scripted content and entertainment, TelevisaUnivision plans to premiere ten telenovelas in 2027 while continuing established formats such as La casa de los famosos México, which will return for its fifth season, Juego de Voces and ¿Quién es la máscara?. The lineup will also retain comedy series, magazine shows and game shows.
The performance of La casa de los famosos México was another highlight for advertisers. The finale reached 15.1 million people on broadcast television and generated more than 178.9 million votes. The format also amassed 14.9 billion digital views across social media and more than 340 million hours viewed on ViX, according to figures presented by TelevisaUnivision. The production attracted more than 70 sponsoring brands, underscoring the commercial potential of formats that extend their reach beyond the television broadcast.
ViX Expands Its Digital Offering
The 2027 strategy also includes expanding content designed for mobile consumption. ViX will add more than 100 vertical productions through ViX Micro, reinforcing its focus on short-form, digital-native formats that can diversify distribution windows and create additional opportunities for brand integration.
In music, the lineup will include ViX All Access, Premios Lo Nuestro, the Latin Grammy Awards, Premios Juventud and music festivals. Meanwhile, N+ will maintain its news programming across television and digital platforms, while N+ Docs will continue developing docuseries and specials.
The announcement comes as the company seeks to connect its various platforms and offer advertisers multiple ways to reach audiences through live programming, high-profile entertainment and digital experiences.
