The film will premiere on November 16 via the streaming service’s premium plan. It is produced by Salma Hayek Pinault and José “Pepe” Tamez under the Ventanarosa Productions brand.

ViX unveiled the official trailer and poster for El sabor de la Navidad, the second original title to be released by the streaming service under the first-look agreement with Ventanarosa Productions to produce exclusive Spanish-language films. The film, directed by Alejandro Lozano and written by Támez, premieres on November 16 on the premium plan.

El sabor de la Navidad is a film by Ventanarosa Productions and Erica Sanchez of Lemon Studios. It features three interwoven stories set during Christmas in Mexico City.

There are three holiday stories. In the first one, a daughter separated from her family tries to reconcile with them. In the second story, two friends challenge their friendship by working as rival Santas in Alameda Central. In the third story, a chef who prepares Christmas dinners for other families comes to terms with her feelings for her kitchen assistant as she struggles with loneliness.

Mariana Treviño (A Man Called Otto, La casa de las flores), Andrés Almeida (Y tu mamá también, Ana, The Three Wise Kings vs. Santa), Armando Hernández (Sangre de mi sangre, Amar te duele), Juan Carlos Medellín (Whiskey Cavellier, El colapso), Mónica Dionne (The Arrival, Hasta el viento tiene miedo) and Marco Treviño (Narcos: México, Danyka) star in the Christmas romantic comedy.
