The successful series that kick-started the Turkish phenomenon in Latin America, is now arriving in Spain on Nova.

Aired originally in 2006 on Kanal D in Turkey, Turkish drama 1001 Nights continues to expand internationally with its arrival in Spain.

Atresmedia’s niche network, Nova, has begun promoting the premiere, which will happen “very soon” on its screen.

Produced by TMC Film and distributed by Global Agency, 1001 Nights is one of the most successful Turkish dramas of all times. It not only succeeded in Turkey, it was responsible for kick-starting the Turkish phenomenon in the international market.

Its premiere in Latin America on Mega in 2014 was the beginning of Turkish drama’s popularity in the region. Its success was so that Mega has just premiered it again in Chile with solid numbers.

Atresmedia acquired the series back in May along with a package of seven titles from several distributors.

Starring Halit Ergenc and Bergüzar Korel, it tells the story of Sherezade, a brilliant architect who lost her husband in an accident and was left alone with their small son diagnosed with leukemia, whom she fails to support.

The solution comes when her boss, Onur, a man who doesnt trust women, offers to spend a night with her in exchange for a million dollars. But soon Onur falls in love with her and what seemed like a simple business becomes complex.
