Over a decade after its original premiere on Televisa, ¿Te la juegas?, a new local version of the Endemol Shine format, produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog, will premiere on the Azteca network on Monday, August 12.

Deal or No Deal is returning to Mexico, this time, with TV Azteca.

More than ten years since its premiere on Televisa, the Endemol Shine format is premiering on Azteca Uno under the title ¿Te la juegas? on Monday, August 12.

The local adaptation is produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog and will air Mondays through Fridays at 7:30pm for one week, ahead of the premiere of Exatlon Mexico season 3.

The format originally premiered in Mexico in 2007 on Las estrellas as Vas o no vas, and later in 2009 as Yoo si voy, on the same network.

Distributed by Endemol Shine Group, the format is returning to Brazil as well with SBT, the same network that aired it until 2011 under the title Topa ou não Topa.

These deals in Latin America join the more than 10 markets where the format is making a comeback, including the Netherlands -where it was created back in 2006-, as well as several more in Eastern and Central Europe.

The show also returned in the US after ten years on CNBC with its original host, Howie Mandel.

In Deal or No Deal, each contestant must choose one of 26 suitcases, each containing random sums of money. Then, they must eliminate the remaining ones to reveal their contents. Throughout the game, they will be offered money or prizes in exchange for their suitcase.

If the contestant rejects them all, they get to keep their suitcase and the money. Thus, they will “win” based on if the money in the suitcase was larger than the ones offered in the deals.
