Starring Rodrigo Guirao, Ástrid Janer, and Abel Folk, the drama will premiere on July 10.
ViX announced today the acquisition of the rights to La encrucijada, the acclaimed series from Secuoya Studios, which will premiere exclusively on the platform on July 10.
After captivating audiences in Spain, La encrucijada is coming to ViX with an intense story of love, family secrets, and revenge set against a world of great wealth, corporate rivalries, and unresolved wounds from the past.
The series stars Rodrigo Guirao, Ástrid Janer, and Abel Folk, and also features performances by Isabel Serrano, Cristóbal Suárez, Candela Márquez, Paula Prendes, Antonio Velázquez, Silvia Marsó, Anna Silvetti, Samantha Siqueiros, Ignacio Montes, Ángela Chica, Mauricio Abad, Saida Santana, Óscar de la Fuente, Raúl Sanz, Eduardo Velasco, and David V. Muro.
La encrucijada follows the story of César Bravo, who returns to his birthplace from Mexico nearly thirty years later. No one remembers his father’s last name anymore, nor the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of his grandparents and the disappearance of everything that once belonged to his family. While he appears to be just another traveler, César has a clear mission: to seek justice and expose Octavio Oramas, the man who built an empire by taking what rightfully belonged to his family.
However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he meets Amanda Oramas, the daughter of his greatest enemy, and falls deeply in love with her. Caught between rivalries, secrets, and scars from the past, César must decide which force is stronger: love or revenge.
The series is the result of a collaboration between Secuoya Studios and Ay Yapım, with the participation of Atresmedia TV, and was filmed in Madrid and the Canary Islands.
