Electric Entertainment, Dean Devlin’s Los Angeles-based production and distribution company, has announced a licensing agreement with AMC Global Media Central Europe for its original series The Librarians: The Next Chapter. AMC will premiere the first season of the series on television and streaming in multiple territories across Central Europe, including Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia. The announcement was made by Nolan Pielak, SVP, International Distribution and Co-Production at Electric Entertainment.

“We’ve had a long-standing partnership with AMC Global Media Central Europe, and we’re excited to continue expanding that relationship into new territories and markets around the world. We’re proud to see the universal appeal of our programming reach new audiences globally, and are excited about the continued expansion of our international footprint,” said Nolan Pielak of Electric Entertainment.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter is a fantasy-adventure spinoff of the original series The Librarians. The story centers on Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan, Jamestown, Marie Antoinette), a time-traveling Librarian from the past who becomes stranded in the present and accidentally unleashes magic across the continent.

To help him clean up the mess, he is assigned a team consisting of Lysa Pascal (Olivia Morris, Hotel Portofino, RRR), a brilliant scientist who inherits an ancient castle in Serbia and doesn’t believe in magic; Connor Green (Bluey Robinson, Cats, Britannia), a historian who became an outcast after boldly claiming that he does believe in magic; and Charlie Cornwall (Jessica Green, The Outpost, Air), a former candidate to become a Guardian who was rejected by the Librarians and is now seeking redemption.

The second season premiered on TNT in the United States on August 2, 2026. The first season consists of 12 episodes of approximately one hour each.
