Apple TV+ has commissioned Disclaimer, a new original series from director, writer, producer, cinematographer and multi-award winning editor, Golden Globes and BAFTAs, Alfonso Cuarón through his production company Esperanto Filmoj.
The psychological thriller will star award-winning and internationally acclaimed actors Cate Blanchett (Don’t Look Up, Nightmare Alley, Pinocchio), who will also executive produce, and Kevin Kline (The Starling, Beauty and the Beast), who will be making his series debut. Cuarón will write, direct and produce the series.
Based on the novel by Renee Knight, Disclaimer will star Blanchett as Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and respected television journalist and documentarian whose work has been based on revealing the hidden transgressions of long-respected institutions. The series will be the first project to debut under the multi-year contract with Cuarón, who will be developing television series exclusively for Apple TV+.
