Amazon Prime Video revealed new original fiction projects in the country with Conspiração Filmes, O2, Losbragas and Prodigo Films.

Amazon Prime Video announced new original productions in Brazil for 2020, year in which it will premiere its first original fictions in the country.

Until now, the platform had announced two local productions: documentary series Tudo ou Nada: Seleção Brasileira (produced by Pitch International and bigBonsai) and the reality show Soltos em Floripa (produced by Floresta).

And now, Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, announced four new fiction projects to be made in Brazil.

The first is Dom, produced by Conspiração Filmes and directed by Breno Silveira (Dois Filhos de Francisco).

It’s based on the real story of Pedro Machado Lomba Neto, known as Pedro Dom, a middle-class boy who became one of the most famous criminals in Rio de Janeiro.

It will star Gabriel Leone (Onde Nascem os Fortes), Flavio Tolezani (Verão 90) and Isabella Santoni (Orgulho e Paixão).

Then there’s Setembro by O2, which tells the story of a trans woman who discovers she had a son with another woman seven years ago. The team of writers is led by Argentina’s Josefina Trotta and includes trans model Alice Marcone.

The third new series is Lov3, by Losbragas, which follows the love affairs of brothers Ana, Sofia and Beto as they explore new ways of finding love.

And lastly the platform is preparing an untitled project with Prodigo Films about musician Marcelo D2.
