Synopsis

Based on the coup d’état of 23 February 1981 in Spain, Anatomy of a Moment dissects one of the crucial moments in recent Spanish history: the transition to democracy.

When Civil Guard Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Tejero entered Congress with a gun in his hand, only three men remained seated while the rest ducked for cover: Adolfo Suárez, Santiago Carrillo and Gutiérrez Mellado.
