In addition to its premiere on Telefe, the Viacom International Studios production will also be available on demand through Cablevisión Flow.

Viacom International Studios (VIS) and Cablevisión announce the Argentine premiere of To Catch a Thief, the series based on the classic film by Alfred Hitchcock.

Starring popular Argentine actor Pablo Echarri as El Gato and Alexandra Jiménez, one of Spain’s most established actresses as Lola Garay, the series will premiere for Telefe and on the following day all chapters will be available to watch OnDemand and from any device by Cablevision Flow.

To Catch a Thief tells the story of Juan Robles, known as El Gato, a reformed thief who seeks to unmask a mysterious character who steals his identity to commit crimes. The love story between El Gato, his wife and police inspector, Lola Garay, adds even more intrigue to the plot.

The 10-episode series was created by Javier Olivares, one of Spains’ beloved television producers who was behind the success of several productions such as Isabel and El Ministerio del Tiempo. The scenes of this massive production were shot in Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Blanes and Tossa de Mar – two municipalities in the Costa Brava.

“We are really proud to present To Catch a Thief in Argentina, one of the first and most ambitious projects of the VIS, an adaptation of the international classic film from Hitchcok,” said Federico Cuervo SVP and Head of VIS. “We are thrilled that this production has gathered so much talent of international recognition,” he concluded.

Guillermo Borensztein VP of Content Sales & Co-productions of VIS, remarked: “We are very happy to complete our fourth project in the last two years with Cablevisión Flow. This alliance allows us to contribute to the development and production of the highest quality content in Argentina, while empowering and complementing VIS in a cross-platform experience.”

“In Cablevisión Flow, we aim to co-produce more and more content of the highest quality, incorporating complete series into our OnDemand catalog allowing our customers to enjoy them as a marathon, accessible at any time they want and from any device,” said Antonio Álvarez, Programming and Content director of Telecom Argentina.

“In this case, we are excited to join VIS with a series of such international acclaim, one that will undoubtedly be applauded by the Argentine audience,” he concluded.
