Banijay Productions Germany to produce the first international adaptation of the reality docu-soap series for Joyn

Content Powerhouse Banijay announced the first international version of the hit reality format, Party Workers. The new German iteration is being filmed in Majorca, Spain and will be produced by Banijay Productions Germany for Joyn.

Originally a Banijay Productions France show for W9, Party Workers documents the experiences of a group of young people as they travel to party hot spots where they must hold down jobs, take part in challenges and adapt to the culture. With over 20 series and spin-offs set in incredible locations such as Ibiza, Las Vegas, Thailand and Australia, the format remains incredibly successful in France after a decade on air.

Arno Schneppenheim, managing director of Banijay Productions Germany says: “Party Workers is the perfect addition to our portfolio as it is packed with humour, fun and entertainment. We are looking forward to working with Joyn to bring this hit French format to our audiences.”

Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations at Banijay commented: “With its high-energy and feel-good nature, Party Workers is a compelling format which has consistently delivered strong ratings in France. Reality is always a popular non-scripted genre but the current demand for it is at an all-time high. With the proven success of Banijay Productions Germany in producing shows in this space, such as Battle of The Reality Stars, this first adaptation of the format is in safe hands.”

Banijay Productions Germany creates and produces innovative and popular series within the unscripted genre such as Temptation Island, Trash or Treasure and Battle of the Reality Stars. The company also includes label Doc.Banijay, which specialises in sports documentary making within its portfolio.
