Beta Film has secured a first wave of international sales for its Korean drama slate, announcing new deals across Europe and the Middle East and North Africa during Mipcom 2026.
Public broadcasters Rai in Italy and ERT in Greece have acquired Snow White Must Die (16 x 60′), while MBC Shahid has picked up both the crime thriller and Skam Korea – Fragile (8 x 26′), the Korean adaptation of the international format Skam, for the MENA region.
Further deals are currently under negotiation.
Snow White Must Die
Based on the bestselling German novel by Nele Neuhaus, Snow White Must Die follows a young man who has spent ten years in prison for a murder he cannot remember committing. After his release, he sets out to clear his name.
The crime thriller stars Byun Yo Han (Six Flying Dragons), Ko Jun (The Fiery Priest), Go Bo-gyeol (Hi Bye, Mama!) and Kim Bo-ra (Touch).
Written by Seo Joo-yeon (Save Me 2) and directed by Byun Young Joo (Queen Mantis, Helpless), the series is produced by Hidden Sequence for MBC.
Skam Korea – Fragile
Skam Korea – Fragile is the first Asian adaptation of the global hit format Skam. The eight-part teen drama follows Ji Yu as she navigates academic pressure, identity, friendship and a strained relationship with her seemingly carefree boyfriend, Chan Seong.
Suspecting that Chan Seong may be involved with popular classmate Soo Jin, Ji Yu finds support among a group of girls who are dealing with challenges of their own.
Directed by Ji-hoon Ahn, the series stars So-hee Kim, Eo-jin Kim, Joo-han Gong, Hee-song Kwon and Ji-won Moon.
The acquisition of both titles marks a strategic expansion for Beta Film into the South Korean drama market.
Beta Film handles international sales for both productions.
