Beta Film announced new sales for the RTL drama, Sisi, with partners all over the world.

The series was most recently sold to The Walt Disney Company and Mediaset for Spain, and Starz Entertainment for Latin America.

In addition, the drama was acquired by Canada’s public broadcaster CBC and its streaming service CBC Gem, as well as to French-Canadian pubcaster Radio-Canada for its streaming service ICI TOU.TV and its TV channel ICI TÉLÉ.

The first season of Sisi scored record ratings on RTL+ and linear channel RTL as well as throughout Europe, most notably in France on TF1, Italy on Canale5, Hungary on RTL Hungary, Brasil on Globo Play, and throughout Eastern Europe on Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel, among others.

Produced by RTL+ and Storyhouse, the series about Empress Elisabeth of Austria is already filming its second season.

Beta unveils row of sales after Miptv

These sales join multiple other deals Beta Films has closed during this year’s Miptv. For starters, spy thriller cycle Agent Hamilton – New Missions was sold to the US and throughout Europe, while Rod Knock, the Norwegian YA series about a young group of gear heads, hits the road in France and Israel.

In addition, the French-Canadian series The Wall has been sold to the US, France, and Spain, among others.

Bitnami
