Conecta Fiction & Entertainment will celebrate its eighth edition from June 18-21 in Toledo, Spain, with Brazil as the focus country for the Americas. On February 28th, at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in Sao Paulo and with the collaboration of the Commercial Office of Spain in Brazil (ICEX), Conecta Fiction & Entertainment was presented to authorities, institutions, and the Brazilian audiovisual industry.

Throughout the week, working meetings were held with local institutions such as ANCINE, Minister of Culture; SIAESP, Cinema Do Brasil; Ministry of Industry, Brazilian Association of Independent Production Companies BRAVI; Foundations supporting young talents such as Projeto Paradiso, Spcine and São Paulo’s cinema and audiovisual company.

Also, the present was an outstanding group of leading companies in the sector, headed by Globo, Rede TV, A&E Networks, HBO Max (now Max), Prime Video, Disney, 02 Filmes, Banijay Endemol, Formata, Gullane, Boutique Films, Floresta, Glaz Entertainment, Casablanca Content, Teleimage, Mixer Filmes, Prodigo Films, Cesnik, and Quanta.

With a domestic market of over 217 million inhabitants and a long history of content production, Brazil stands out not only for the number of hours produced but also for the quality of its plots and the outstanding technical and artistic talent it possesses.
