The new business and creative structure is aimed to strengthen their positioning in the global market and face the new challenges of the audiovisual industry.

BTF Media, multi award-winner production company, announced new strategic appointments to their management team as it continues to shape its leadership in Hispanic markets.

The company, founded and led by well-known entrepreneurs and producers Francisco Cordero and Ricardo Coeto, is launching a new business and creative structure, aimed to strengthen their positioning in the global market and face the new challenges of the audiovisual industry.

The appointments, which are all effective immediately, include:

Yoselin Pérez Valdez joined the company as SVP of Sales. In this role, she will lead BTF’s front office towards clients to guarantee new business deals. Pérez Valdez holds a degree in Advertising and brings more than 20 years of experience within the advertising and sales industry.

Ivonne Vela, former CMS Manager at BTF, was promoted to SVP of Business Affairs. In this role, Vela will oversee the essential business functions, and the operations of the management & Backoffice team as well as the projects, while proving high-end management to current and future company stakeholders.

The new consolidation strategy is tied to the recent ISO 9001:2015 certification received by the company, endorsing all production management processes under the International Organization for Standardization, including administration and control of legal, financial, and human resources, as well as purchases for the realization of audiovisual projects.

The company already had in place an anticorruption policy as well as strong protocols for the prevention of sexual and labor violence since 2018, reinforcing its engagement to create safe development and production environments and workplaces.

Marco Forte, who led the operations of the Mexican production Office was promoted to SVP of New Ventures, overseeing new businesses extending to all aspects of the industry. Forte will also lead the application of policies and procedures based on the ISO 9001:2015 certificate received by BTF.

Verónica Álvarez & Sergio Lazarov, who bring a strong background in unscripted productions for Mexico and USA, will continue to lead BTF unscripted productions as VPs of Unscripted Content, with Alvarez overseeing Mexico and Lazarov USA projects. Álvarez brings over 20 years as Executive Director of Unscripted Content. While Lazarov has been directing and producing large scale live shows for over 20 years, for the USA Hispanic market.

The new management team will be completed by the following roles, soon to be announced:

SVP of Development, who will lead all creative operations including general entertainment, series, and feature films, as well as BTF’s unscripted development.

SVP of Production, who will oversee all aspects of production and post-production operations. In this role the new executive will monitor, and supervise all production activity from prep through wrap, ensuring project schedules, budgets and creative expectations are met.

Ricardo Coeto and Francisco Cordero will Co-CEO the company – in line with current business trends- bringing their deep and diverse competencies, backgrounds, and perspectives to the job. Francisco will lead Business Affairs and Ricardo Creative Affairs, and together they will master the increasingly complex corporate functions that CEOs today are expected to manage.

The entire BTF Operation will continue to be supported by a Backoffice Team, including top management from the Legal, Administration, HR, Design, Marketing & PR, Casting and Logistics departments.

Moreover, the company reinforced its creative leadership with in-house writers, showrunners, and executive producers, who will help to increase company’s a production slate. Among them are: Ivonne Niño [L-Pop (2023), Pancho Villa. El Centauro del Norte (2023)], Fides Velasco [Pacto de Sangre (2024)], Rafa Lara [Pancho Villa. El Centauro del Norte (2023)], and Héctor Valdez [El Repatriado (2022), Máscara contra Caballero (2023)].
