Univision announced the debut of hit international drama Mujer (Woman) as part of its weeknight programming lineup starting May 15 at 10p/9C. From the same creators of Madre (Mother), the highly rated Turkish telenovela that successfully aired on Univision last year, Mujer tells an emotional story about overcoming obstacles, demonstrating strength in the face of daily challenges, and the sacrifices we make for the people we love. The TV phenomenon is an adaptation of the popular Japanese original Woman, and has conquered audiences around the world including Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

In Mujer, Bahar’s (Özge Özpirinçci) story of survival takes the spotlight. She was abandoned by her mother and lost her grandparents at a very early age. Bahar then meets Sarp (Caner Cindoruk) who falls madly in love with her, and they father two children Nisan (Kübra Süzgün) and Doruk (Ali Semi Sefil.) After a few years, her husband suffers a tragic death, and she is left a widow who struggles to provide for her children all while uncovering painful truths about her past.

The cast includes renowned Turkish actors Özge Özpirinçci, Caner Cindoruk, Bennu Yildirimlar, Seray Kaya, Ayça Erturan, Ece Özdikici, Kübra Süzgün, Ali Semi Sefil, Feyyaz Duman, Devrim Özder Akin, Gökçe Eyüboğlu, Şerif Erol, and Dilek Kaya.
