The Colombian broadcaster welcomed leading audiovisual professionals in Bogotá for a semi-final judging round of the 2026 International Emmy Awards, evaluating entries in the Documentary category.
Caracol Televisión hosted a Semi-Final Round of Judging for the 2026 International Emmy Awards in Bogotá, one of the key stages in the selection process organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The judging session focused on the Documentary category and brought together a distinguished panel of Colombian executives, producers, directors, screenwriters, and audiovisual professionals, who evaluated entries from around the world under the supervision of a representative of the International Academy.
The jury included Juana Uribe, Channel Vice President at Caracol Televisión; Alessandro Angulo, partner at Laberinto Producciones; Miguel Salazar; Jorge Durán; Rubén Mendoza; Mauricio Vélez; Diego F. Ramírez, partner at 64A Films; Consuelo Castillo, director of Doc:Co; Diana Camargo; Santiago Posada; and Juan Camilo Cruz.
“For Caracol Televisión, hosting this Semi-Final Round in Bogotá is an opportunity to showcase Colombia’s quality, experience, and creative capabilities to the global industry,” said Marcio Guilherme Silva, Vice President of Streaming and Channels at DITU.
He added that the event reinforces the company’s leadership in content creation while strengthening its commitment to innovation and to the development of a Colombian audiovisual industry with global reach.
The nominees for the 2026 International Emmy Awards will be announced in September, with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place on November 23 in New York City.
