Cindie, the streaming service specializing in international series and independent films, has announced a partnership with Ole Distribution to expand its distribution across Latin America.

Under the agreement, Ole Distribution will lead Cindie’s subscription distribution among pay-TV operators, internet service providers and selected OTT platforms across the region.

Cindie’s team will continue to manage its direct partnerships with Amazon, Roku and leading Connected TV platforms, including Samsung and LG. The company will also retain responsibility for distribution outside Latin America.

With the agreement, Cindie joins Ole Distribution’s portfolio of 25 channels and services, which includes brands such as A&E, AMC, AXN, DreamWorks, E!, elGourmet, Europa Europa, Film&Arts, History, Lifetime, NBCUniversal, Sony Channel, Sony Movies, Studio Universal, Tastemade, Telemundo Internacional, Universal TV and USA.

Owned by DMD, Cindie offers a catalog of international series and independent films spanning different countries, genres and styles. Its titles include Snowpiercer, JFK, Apocalypse Now Redux and Mulholland Drive, alongside premium productions and exclusive content added to the service on a monthly basis.

The partnership combines Ole Distribution’s market expertise and longstanding relationships with pay-TV operators and telecommunications companies across the region with Cindie’s editorial proposition and on-demand model.

“We identified Cindie as a leader in creating high-growth on-demand services. Adding it to our portfolio alongside the region’s leading channels reflects the strength of the offering and the team behind it. We look forward to bringing Cindie to operators across Latin America,” said Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president of Ole Distribution.

Tony Kelly, founder and CEO of DMD, said the partnership will enable Cindie to deepen its presence among pay-TV operators and telco packages, while the company continues to develop its direct relationships with Amazon, Roku and Connected TV platforms.

Maurice van Sabben, CEO of Cindie, added that Ole Distribution brings the relationships, reach and local presence needed to expand the service among major operators and telecommunications packages across the region.

Cindie is currently available in Latin America through pay-TV operators including Telecom Argentina, Claro Brasil, Claro VTR and VIVO, as well as telecommunications companies such as Telefónica and internet service providers. The service is also distributed directly through Amazon Prime Video Channels, Roku, Samsung and LG.

The company also operates Cindie TV, an ad-supported free channel, as well as an AVOD service available in Spanish and Portuguese.
