Having received 271 proposals from 34 countries, Conecta 10 confirms the relevance of its calls for entries for the screen sector in Europe and the Americas.
The editorial committees of Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca have selected the 26 projects that will take part in the event’s four international pitching sessions, which will take place from 25 to 28 May at the Hotel Meliá Calvià Beach in Mallorca (Balearic Islands). In total, the organisers have assessed 271 projects from 34 countries across five continents, a figure that reflects the international standing of an event which, in its tenth edition, has established itself as one of the leading forums for the development and financing of television content on a global scale.
The four calls for entries launched by Conecta have generated a significant volume of submissions across all categories, with the Pitch Vertical Series -dedicated to microdramas for mobile screens consumption- standing out in particular, having received a total of 45 proposals, highlighting the industry’s growing interest in new narrative formats.
Geographically speaking, Spain once again accounts for the largest share of the projects received, with 15% of these coming from production companies and screenwriters in the Balearic Islands, a figure that highlights the vitality of the local content industry. Beyond Spain’s borders, Europe accounts for 43.9% of all international ideas received, with a notable presence from Portugal, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
The Americas emerge as the second most significant geographical bloc, accounting for 49.1% of international submissions: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Brazil lead Latin American participation, confirming the strength of the creative and industrial link that Conecta has historically forged between Europe and the Americas. The call for entries has also reached Asia (3.5%) and Africa (2.6%), thereby extending the event’s reach to territories that are typically under-represented in major international audiovisual markets.
SELECTED PROJECTS FOR THE 2026 INTERNATIONAL PITCHING SESSIONS

Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca Awards
The finalist projects will have the opportunity to compete for a series of awards, the full list and details of which will be announced during the awards ceremony scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday 27 May. Among those confirmed so far, the prize package stands out for combining direct financial support, production and post-production services, and access to top-tier international forums, making Conecta a concrete catalyst for development for participating talent and prodcos.
In terms of cash prizes, the Spain Film Commission Award will award €3,000 to the project that best showcases Spanish locations as a narrative and production asset. And once again this year, the Triodos Bank Award, also worth €3,000, will reward the project that best embodies the values of positive impact in the environmental, cultural and social spheres, in line with the bank’s ethical banking philosophy.
In addition to financial support, the call for entries includes the now customary in-kind prizes, which hold significant strategic value for the development of the winning projects. The Warner Music Award will offer five days of Dolby Atmos sound recording sessions to help create promotional materials for the selected project. The Acorde Award will recognise three finalist projects by providing music from its catalogue for the pilot and the potential first full season of each. And the New Art Award will grant €5,000 in-kind contribution towards post-production services.
The international dimension of the awards is facilitated through the prizes offered by the partner events with which Conecta maintains a long and fruitful strategic relationship, which will open direct doors to key markets in Europe and the Americas. Among the forums offering the selected projects the opportunity to participate in their respective pitching sessions are Bogotá Audiovisual Market – BAM (Colombia), SANFIC Industria (Chile), and TV Beats Forum (Estonia), which is joining this international circuit for the first time.
