The 11-episode production is the first official documentary series about Latin America’s most important club competition.

The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) and Offline Sports announce the start of filming for Conmebol Libertadores 2026: La gloria eterna, the first official documentary series about South America’s most important club competition, developed within the framework of a global strategic agreement between the two organizations.

Following the success of Conmebol Copa América 2024: El legado, Conmebol and Offline Sports are joining forces again on a production that aims to offer fans an in-depth, authentic, and contemporary look at the tournament, combining its rich history with the vibrant present of its protagonists.

“With the Conmebol Libertadores, we are always looking for new ways to enrich the fan experience and make them part of the eternal glory. New products, experiences, and approaches with the same passion that was born 66 years ago and that has made this tournament one of the most important sporting competitions in the world. This documentary will be charged with the unique emotions and energy of South American football as the tournament progresses,” said Alejandro Domínguez Wilson-Smith, President of Conmebol.

Currently in production, the series will consist of 11 episodes and, for the first time in the tournament’s history, will provide exclusive access to the protagonists of the Conmebol Libertadores: never-before-seen interviews, glimpses into the daily lives of players and coaching staff, as well as footage captured in restricted areas throughout the tournament.

One of the main distinguishing features of La gloria eterna is its premiere model. The episodes will be released progressively throughout the competition, before the start of each phase, allowing audiences to follow the stories as they unfold. This approach connects the past, present, and future of the Conmebol Libertadores, revealing the origins, challenges, and aspirations of the participating clubs in a narrative that evolves alongside the tournament.

The series will closely follow the 32 qualified teams, traveling to different cities across the continent to capture the intensity of the championship from the inside: locker rooms, tunnels, travel, team gatherings, and other spaces usually off-limits to the public.
