The six-part cinematic docuseries, filmed across four different continents, explores the depths of the human experience and the search for meaning.
Dori Media is set to debut unique new global documentary series Seekers at L.A. Screenings later this week, a series that features a standout cast that includes Édgar Ramírez, Riley Keough and Jamie-Lynn Sigler among many others, it was announced today by Dori Media CEO Nadav Palti.
Seekers, a six-part cinematic docuseries filmed across four different continents, explores the depths of the human experience and the search for meaning. Created and directed by Gio Israel, Seekers follows cultural figures, everyday heroes, and real seekers as they step into ancient healing traditions, sacred ceremonies, and deeply personal journeys through grief, identity, trauma, belonging, purpose, and the growing global mental health crisis.
Seekers got unprecedented access to global rituals, communities, and wisdom traditions rarely, and in some cases never before captured on film. Season one features an array of stars including critically acclaimed actor Edgar Ramírez (Emilia Perez, The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Carlos), Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & The Six), and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos, Entourage)
“We are honored to bring Seekers to the global TV marketplace, as it is a truly unique documentary series that attained unprecedented access to global communities and many rituals that had never before been captured on film,” says Dori’s Palti. “We will be showcasing Seekers for the first time at L.A. Screenings alongside our many other scripted and unscripted offerings.”
“We’re living through a mental health crisis, but beneath it, I believe there’s something even deeper, a crisis of meaning, belonging, and human connection,” says the series’ director, Gio Israel. “We’ve built extraordinary systems, faster technology, smarter machines, bigger economies, yet many of us are quietly forgetting how to grieve, how to listen, how to sit with uncertainty, how to belong. Seekers was born from a simple question: what happens when modern lives meet ancient wisdom?”
Through its unique platform model, the producers of Seekers committed 11% of revenues directly back to frontline communities, building long-term cultural and community partnerships. These partnerships include building a preschool in rural Zimbabwe, providing medical support in the Amazon, and support for the Indigenous communities in the Himalayas.
Dori Media recently announced it has now sold its hit unscripted format Power Couple, created by Abot Hameiri (Fremantle Israel), in more than 25 global territories and secured renewals in numerous key territories. And Power Couple’s first-ever 24/7 version just successfully debuted across all of Televisa/Univision’s platforms in U.S. Hispanic and Mexico, wrapping up its first season in March for the Spanish broadcaster/streamer.
