The new series will be developed by the Icelandic producer in association with Eccho Rights, who will distribute it internationally.

Eccho Rights are teaming up with Icelandic producer Glassriver on upcoming production As Long As We Live. The series is created and will feature Aníta Briem, star of The Tudors, in the lead role.

The 6 x 45 min series is written by Briem, inspired by her own personal experiences. Shooting later in 2022, the series will air on Channel 2 in Iceland.

As Long As We Live is the story of Beta, a former queen of pop, now a struggling mom in a stale marriage. She misses the thrills of her past life. A young man becomes a part of their household and starts introducing them to flirting games that leads them down a path of lust and excitement reigniting their relationship – but also stripping the marriage to the core and threatening its entire existence.

As Long As We Live is produced by Glassriver’s Hordur Runarsson and Abby Haflidadottir, in association with Eccho Rights, who will distribute the title internationally. Adam Barth and Nicola Söderlund (Eccho Rights) are Executive Producers.

Nicola Söderlund says: “The series has an edgy and fresh tone that we believe will have a very strong appeal for the international market. Modern and urban relationships have always been a point of curiosity in the Nordic lifestyle, which is actually quite individualistic. We think that series like As Long As We Live are creating a brand of their own, Nordic Love.”
