Argentine company Leader Entertainment – El Reino Infantil has announced the start of production on La Granja de Zenón: La Película, the children’s franchise’s first theatrical feature film. The story will explore the origins of Bartolito, with an international release planned for 2028.

Leader Entertainment – El Reino Infantil has announced the production of La Granja de Zenón: La Película, the first theatrical feature film based on its successful children’s franchise, with an international release scheduled for 2028.

The announcement coincides with El Reino Infantil’s 15th anniversary. The company began its journey on YouTube in 2011 and has since expanded its content across streaming platforms, FAST channels, television, live shows, and consumer products.

La Granja de Zenón: La Película will explore Bartolito’s origin story and the journey that made him one of the franchise’s most popular characters. Designed specifically for preschool audiences and their families, the project will introduce a refreshed visual style for its characters and a narrative adapted to the big screen, with music playing a central role.

“Today, we are announcing the start of production on La Granja de Zenón: La Película, and it’s impossible not to look back. Fifteen years ago, we started creating videos for YouTube with a very clear idea: to make children happy and accompany families in their daily lives,” said Roberto “Kuky” Pumar, founder and chairman of Leader Entertainment – El Reino Infantil.

“Bartolito, La Vaca Lola, and all the characters from La Granja de Zenón have become part of the childhood of millions of children around the world, and we dreamed of taking this step onto the big screen. We chose Bartolito as the protagonist because his story speaks to something that resonates with all of us: having the courage to be who we are and finding our own voice,” he added.

The film represents one of the company’s largest investments to date and is part of its strategy to expand its intellectual properties into new entertainment categories.

“Music, which has always been at the heart of La Granja de Zenón, will play a central role. Families will reconnect with the songs they sing at home, but in a way they’ve never heard before. For many children, this film will be their first experience in a movie theater, and we hope it will become a memory they share with their siblings, parents, and grandparents,” Pumar said.

The executive also highlighted the significance of the project for the Latin American audiovisual industry and the potential for digitally born franchises to expand into other media.

“This international production project demonstrates that a major children’s franchise can be born in the digital world, build a global community, and reach the big screen. For decades, the most acclaimed titles originated in television or major film studios. With La Granja de Zenón: La Película, we took the opposite path: first, we built a direct relationship with millions of families around the world, song by song, and only then did we take this step,” he explained.

“This global community is our greatest strength and an advantage that very few projects have from the outset. Announcing this ambitious project, which will require a major investment, confirms that Latin America can create children’s brands with massive reach, capable of competing with major international franchises,” he added.

El Reino Infantil currently has more than 240 million YouTube subscribers, a network of more than 50 channels available in 11 languages, and a historical total of 180 billion views on the platform. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, it generated more than 9 billion views.

Its content is also available on FAST and CTV platforms including Roku, Samsung TV, LG, TCL, and Pluto TV, as well as streaming services such as Netflix, HBO Max, and Prime Video, among others.

The company continues to expand its activities through international partnerships. Recent projects include Wadoo, a co-production with Mediawan Kids & Family; the regional distribution of The Little Prince and His Friends; and Pili Pilota, an original production being developed alongside CAKE Entertainment.
