The sports streaming platform will receive the million-dollar funding from the Miami-based investment firm to start 2020 in a growth trajectory.

Sports streaming platform Fanatiz has closed a US$10 million Series A funding round with 777 Partners, a Miami-based private investment firm with interests that span several high growth industries.

Led by Fanatiz Founder & CEO, Matías Rivera, the announcement comes on the heels of numerous accomplishments, including the company’s 125% increase in paid subscribers since July, 2019.

“It is truly a milestone day for all of us at Fanatiz, and most importantly, our fans and viewers,” said Rivera. “The partnership with 777 Partners reflects our strong growth trajectory, and solidifies our positioning as one of the main contenders in a competitive sports streaming marketplace. We are more excited than ever to start 2020 bolstered by this new support, enhancing our platform for loyal soccer fans everywhere.”

2019 was a banner year for the growing platform including the launch of a reduced subscriber pricing model for new and existing users, making it the most affordable option for soccer fans available in the U.S. sports streaming market.

This, coupled with securing record viewership numbers during LaLiga’s marquee soccer matchup, El Clásico, this past December, puts the platform on course for continued growth this year.

“We view our investment in Fanatiz as a fantastic opportunity for growth” added Juan Arciniegas, Principal at 777 Partners. “It gives our firm no greater satisfaction than to support organizations like Fanatiz that are working to become dominant players in fast-growing niche markets. We can’t wait to see what’s to come!”
